  1. Cranks and Jerkbaits are my fav. Plastics boated me more but I find the cranks more fun to fish.
  2. Thanks for the info guys
  3. I would start with a couple in natural colours, make sure they work good for you before you drop the cheddar on 6-8 of em
  4. I was looking at buying a couple spro bronseye frogs for next season, have a couple questions. 1. Spro vs River 2 Sea frog, they look very similar, opinions on which is really better? 2. Color choice? Kinda lost on the spro color lineup, What colors work best for you? (Clear Water) 3. Should I try one of the popper frogs? anyone had good success with them?
  5. I got a st croix permier 7ft ul 2 peice rod. Little more than 75 unless you find a sale. I would probably go with a light action if I had to buy again. Great panfishing rod. 5 year warranty.
  6. Nice, I just picked up the same vendetta for the same application. Looks like a solid rod can't wait to use it next season.
  7. Rapala jointed minnow, I think i got it from my grandpa's box when he passed. Probably not my very 1st artificial bait but it's the only one I remember from when I started fishing.
  8. I'll stick with my booyahs for $4-5 each they work perfect.
  9. Avid, but you definitely wont be bad off with a Premier if the avid is not in your budget.
  10. Any reviews on them? They look good for the price, but are they?
  11. I broke my Lightning Rod last season trolling for pike. I usually use this rod strictly for trolling pike, or if a non fisher friend / or dad comes with me bass fishing i let them use this rod. Looking for something under 50 bucks. Spinning, Medium or MH, Fast or MF Any suggestions on rods to look at? Im headed to a bass pro after christmas need some ideas to check out. I was looking at the new Lightning rods and Amp but im not too sure?
  12. I used 25lb berkley big game last year - No problems but I think next year ill try 20-25lb trilene flurocarbon
  13. I bought one a little while ago after people on this forum told me it was a great reel. They were right, Very light, and smooth reel.
  14. Lowrance ifinder H20C I bought this last year and it works great for a handheld unit. It's a lot cheaper than 400, but once you buy the hotmaps card (or other map card), and ram mount, etc it will all add up.
  15. I have a pair of oakley polarized, Only pair of polarized suns i have owned. They work great. Bit pricey through.
  16. I have a couple, Im no jig master at all but I fish it the same as all the other jigs varying the retrieve. The weed guard has done me good, does not hang up anymore than my other jigs, I use a trailer. They are a pretty solid jig. -Nice Sharp Hook -Quality Skirt -Amazing look to them
  17. Thanks for the info, I will try to buy it with the trolling motor transducer, or I will trade it in.
  18. It does display the depth yes, It's a 93 eagle that came with my boat. Thanks for the info, I have been looking at this unit for a while.
  19. Im looking into this fish finder to mount on my front trolling motor. Have two questions. 1. Is this finder good at marking baitfish / and bottom structure? (My current does not at all) 2. Do I need to buy a special bracket for the transducer to go on the trolling motor? If so any idea where I could buy this? Thanks.
  20. Im going to be buying a carrot stix for jigs. Pitching / Flipping Im tossed up on which one to buy. These are the three im considering and the concerns i have At the moment I can't afford a rod for each pitch and flip so.. -It will be used for heavy cover and docks and such. CLTX-701MH-F-C - 7ft MH F (Worried it wont hold up good in the grass?) CLTX-701XH-F-C - 7ft XH F (When not in grass I would mostly be using lighter jigs than the rod weight recommends - Does this really matter?) CLTX-761H-F-C - 7'6" H F (Don't think i could deal with a rod this long, storage wise and all) Im really thinking the xh, f rod would be my best choice.. Any opinions?
  21. Im in the market for a new flip pitch rod. I currently have a quantium, like it but only problem is I find it pretty heavy, it bothers my wrists after a while. In the market for $150 or less preferably, Would like to stay 7ft. don't think i would be comfortable with a longer rod than that. Any suggestions? I read when the carrot stix came out a lot of people liked them for the price, Do you all still feel the same way? Any other rod suggestions? I was thinking a st. croix mojo but i have never held one or seen one for that matter.

Im looking into getting better with the jigs, I have a couple questions. 1. What's a quality brand to buy? I had some bass pro brand ones and they all just fell apart after little use. 2. Rattles or No Rattles? 3. What weight? (I already have some heavy ones for punching through grass and heavy weeds) I fish mostly depths from 1-15 ft, little current Just looking for a decent all around weight, Thinking 3/8's? 4. Any luck fishing them without a trailer? Just lookin for some info, Thanks.
  24. Shimano - Reels Rapala - * St. Croix - Rods BooYah - Spinners *** - plastics.
