  1. Hey, Wondering what you guys do when you see a fish following or just sitting there looking at your bait / lure? Had it happen several times using top waters, the fish would follow but once i got too close to me they would swim away Also several times with senko style baits they would be face down just looking at it then swim away after a little while. Not sure what to do for the topwaters, crank fast and hope for a strike before its too late? or just pause it? And the senko, let it sit? or twitch it? Just wondering what you guys do? Any tips? Thanks.
  2. gold x-rap 10 is my most productive of crank/jerk baits I like a jerk jerk pause retrieve
  3. I have a lightning rod, Works good for me I would say its good for the price.
  4. Nice, I really like the origional x-raps. Anyone know if BPS has them stocked up? Im planning on making a trip to a store soon.
  5. I had a hit with a senko on topwater texas rigged, didn't catch it but the fish seemed to be going crazy for top waters lures that day. Today i also got a fish simply by reeling in the senko I agree they are great baits
  6. probably people spelling it wrong is all
  7. Some days I dont have much luck with them, but 98% of the time they are my top catching bait I use. I fish them slow, let it sink/sit on the bottom for 15+ seconds, then lift up let it fall and repeat. Maybe try a dif location, fish along weed edges and pockets.
  8. I keep all my plastics in a bait biner, No problems for me.
  9. I usually heat up a small metal poker then work on melting my senko style baits back together. Have not really noticed much of a diffrence, looks to fall the same, I still caught fish on the repaired plastics so im happy.

I used dinngers for the first time today, Yellow / Black worked just as good as a senko for me. Good luck with the X-RAP, Love those lures but i never had any luck with the blue ones either.
  11. Thanks for the suggestions, Picked up a Symetre today.
  12. Hi, I recently bought a baitcast setup for crankbaits and other lures. Im using a $20 rod and reel combo for my soft plastic fishing... My problem is that my line keeps getting tangled up when im reeling the slack off my line or when fishing weightless baits. Not too sure if this is my line or reel, but im sure I could use a new reel either way. Im not looking for a really expensive reel, just something decent around $50 or lower. I was looking at this one at a local store, looked pretty good but im not too sure if it will be good for what i want. http://www.quantumfishing.com/fwreels/array_spinning.html Any input on picking a good reel, or suggestions on a good model would be apreciated. Thanks.
  13. Thanks for the info, will save me a couple bucks.
  14. These are like the ones at my local store. http://www.cabelas.com/prod-1/0026074118904a.shtml They have a bill on them, might be a cross between both not sure?
  15. Wondering if anyone has tried them and if they are productive / Durrable? I seen them on a video once and they look to swim pretty life like, and they look decent in the stores but I'm wondering if I should pick up a couple. Like the title says they are storm lures, soft crankbaits. Thanks.
  16. I got a pinnacle solene, It was pretty cheap and works great for me. http://www.silstar.com/guide/solene.html My first baitcaster not sure if it would be better than your choice but just letting you know about it.
  17. Thanks for the suggestions I'll try some of the Yozuri Hybrid Ultra Soft
  18. Hi, Recently bought a baitcaster, First thing I did was spooled up some braided spyder wire steath.. :'( After several random lures snapping off on my casts im starting to think i chose the wrong brand of line. Can you guys reccomend some good brands that I can pick up? Mono, or braided whatever is best for baitcast reels. Thanks.
