are western fishermen the best of the best??
I dont think that a bass fishermans skill dictates on where he is from, maybe except for being able to develop skills a little bit Quicker, such being able to fish year round, or having hard water, wind/rain storms 3-4 months of the year.

Nick Barr's Resume-please review
The G-loomis thing is true with Lamiglas. Lamiglas is on the columbia river in southern WA, G-Loomis is practically next-door neighbors to Lamiglas. Also, Lamiglas is a house-hold name all over the country in one type of fishing or another.

Best technique/bait during cold front?
My favorite Cold Front Presentation is a Dropshot Rig, either it is a finesse 1/8 QuickDrops Sinker, or a "Bubba DropShot" 1/2 oz. Quickdrops. I would use a Ghost Baits 4.2 SPlit Tail Bait, in a Translucent color.

Nick Barr's Resume-please review
I Refined my resume a little bit Nick Barr daddiocoolcat@hotmail.com Hi, My name is Nick Barr and I reside in Lacey, Washington and am a Honor Roll 8th Grader (14 Years Old) at Komachin Middle School and currently pursuing a career in professional bass fishing. My family has no history of fishing and I have taught myself the art of bass fishing with the help of the internet, books, club members, and on-water experience. I am inquiring about a Staff position with Lamiglas Rods. Bio- I was born August 4th, 1991 in Olympia, Washington. I lived and grew up outside of Tenino, Washington on the shores of McIntosh Lake. During my time there I learned basic fishing skills. Now I live in Lacey, which is surrounded by 4 great bass lakes. I have seriously been bass fishing for 2 years now and started fishing tournaments this year with good success. I fish as many tournaments as I can and fish at least 3 times a week. I fish as a Non-Boater in tournaments, which I think is a great advertising opportunity, and in my free time I fish out of a 12-foot aluminum boat, which I recently converted to a bass boat and put a 5 horse motor on the back. I joined the Capital City Bass Club a year ago and I am the founder and president of the Capital City JR. Bass Club. All my fishing is currently paid for out of my paper route money. I am proudly sponsored by Lamiglas Rods in Woodland, WA. Outdoor Emporium in Seattle, WA. McCoy Fishing Line out of Lake Havasu City, AZ. FishHedz from Middletown, CA. KGM Baits in Federal Way, WA. Quickdrops Dropshot Sinkers from Stillecoom, WA. And Ghost Baits from Voldasta, GA. One thing I feel that is essential for me to work with any sponsor is the absolute belief in your product. Product knowledge is paramount to my success both on the water and representing your company. I can confidently provide Promotion, Professionalism, Product Ideas, Enthusiasm, and Representation of what Lamiglas is all about. I truly know that I will be an asset to Lamiglas Rods and its Fishing Team. I have an extensive background in marketing and advertising, as my mother is the marketing teacher at Timberline High School, which I will be attending in 2007. Also, my father was a marketing teacher for 11 years. On my own I have studied marketing and last year took a test on these skills against high school students and finished 8th in the state. I also believe that a paramount to my success is community involvement, I do community service projects monthly and help plan ramp clean-ups and help out underprivileged youth. I am outgoing and confident in my public speaking ability and skill to move product. I often travel to state tournaments, Sportsmans Shows, and many other outdoor oriented events. I do all these things while I proudly wear and promote my sponsors proudly. Memberships: FLW Outdoors North American Fishing Club Bass Anglers Sportsman Society B.A.S.S. Where Is The Best Bass Lake?
I Live up in WA so we dont have WORLD RENOUN bass fisheries but we do have some of the best bass fisheries. COLUMBIA RIVER, Takes 20 pounds to win a tourny in all seasons. Banks Lake, winning bag 10-15 lbs., but you can catch fish all day long until your arm falls off. Then there is Potholes Reservior which produces Trophy Largemouth fishing and Great smallie fishing since the occupy 2 different parts of the lake. BUT, I am going to Table Rock Lake, MO this Spring for a week and that should be AWESOME. I would have to say TB lake, from what have heard is one of the best overall lakes in the US.

School paper
This issue is not talked about very much but it was in a BASS Times article and its local to me. SLUDGE in the upper COLUMBIA RIVER, Trophy smallmouth fishery and major river in US. Sludge is Debree from the air from metal plants, and plants that do all the stuff that is illegal in the US so these plants are close to the US on the Canadian Border. all this air debree drops in the water and creates a thick black sludge in the water. Fish that are cought are covered in black sludge, and the ottomfish population really has declined and is killing off many of the Fish. If you could cover this MAJOR issue, that is not very Publicaly spoke about. That would be cool

Flashers
I Personally own a LCD, but i have fished with a 1984 Lowrance Flasher. I want to buy a flasher/LCD Unit in the future. Here is why i like Flashers: 1- It can define the actual bottom depth and read through thick weeds 2- You can spot fish from sturcucture easier Disadvantages, Harder to truly define cover, can only go so deep, Cant see what you just passed, etc. This is why i am going to buy a combo unit

How do you deal with fishing around grass carp?
Oh Yeah, That 5 ft. Carp is a possiblilty, my home lake is home of the 68 pound state record carp. it was about 4 ft. long. And i have Seen Carp that are bigger than that, but they are deep 15-35 ft. i can only see them 1 week after opening day until the water gets stained then i cant see them no more
-
How do you deal with fishing around grass carp?
In my area in Washington, We have Lots of Carp, Lots of them in every lake except, 1 lake that is 110 feet deep and has no flats for carp to roam. 1. Carp are a less dominent Species, They are scavengers and vegiterians. Once on a lake i was bed fishing and a carp came over, 20 lbs, and a small male darted out for it and it swam away. even in some lakes, baby carp or practically goldfish are some type of forage. 2. It depends on the situation, In small shallow Lakes, such as 8 feet deep or less, Grass Carp are a usually a problem if overstocked, such as seen above. They eat way at any weeds and virtually all weeds. and bass fishing declines ONLY if they are overstocked. 3. My experience with carp in shallow lakes, The BEST Largemouth Lake in WA is controlled by grass carp. But they put in a good amount to where it would nt impact bass fishing, the lake is 8 feet deep at the most and all milfoil is gone but there is still sparse cabbage, and lilly pads, and any other cover. Overall Annaylisis: Carp are not a BIG Problem, Unless they are overstocked

Stained Water
Probably just the Light refraction, unlesstheir is a thermocline and mud particles, etc. are caught in the colder, heavier water.
