Fishing Something Different
I have never used robowrms on a split shot before, i have use them on a drop shot with great succes. I love action and color of the baits

Anyone use the Chinese rig?
I like that idea, I think no fish in america has seen that rig. I gotta try that sometime. I have tried that jig and pig drop sshot and its not as great as you think, MAJOR LINE TWIST
-
Hooks for drop-shot.
For Smallies i use The finesse wide gap and the drop shot hooks and have had a good hook-up rate on them, For Largemouth I use a 1/0 G-Lock Worm hook

Lightning on the lake
I would get the heck outta there and go find shelter anywhere on shore. I would rather be alive and well than catch a 10 pounder and get struck by lighting minutes later.

Hey Bass And Salt?
I am leaning more towards rauls post. Salt Provides weight and lets the fish hold on more. I am not sure though wether salt leaves a trail. I know for sure though fish attractent does.

BIGGEST BASS YOU'VE EVER CAUGHT
Mine Was a 6 1/2 Lbs. Largemouth, Post Spawn, 6lbs. test McCoy Line It could have been about 8 Pounds if she was full of eggs. I caught here in a lake that is rated #2 in the state to produce a new record. I saw them electrofish a 13 pounder whic would break the record by a good 2 pounds. Smallmouth 5-4 Caught her on a dt Hula Grub, on 6 lbs. Test McCoy Line on a Light Action Drop Shot Rod. Took me 5+ Minutes to get her in the boat.

Crazy things fishing partners do
I mostly fish by myself since my fishing buddy now has his own boat. One time we were fishing and We were heading to our next spot full throttle (15 mph) He stands up on the front deck which slows use down dramatically. I yell at him to sit down, he doesnt. so i kill the engine and he falls right of the front deck..... you should have seen his face....chuckle. then i drive over and start fishing and he has to swim 20 yards to get back to the boat. I told him " I couldnt hear what you said, i thought you said you wanted to go swimming" Then a week later we have a little 2 boat team tournament with a couple of other friends, WE all started at the end of the dock and had to run jump into our boats and get going, i jumped in an dthen my partner planted his foot on the edge of the dock to jump and Splash, the siding of the dock came off and he fell right into the water. When i lived on a lake with almost no development we used to have bottle rocket wars. I got hit right in the chest with one of those and that sucked, Oh well. Its fun

Deliberate Planning
I go out with a plan and stick to it for a couple hours, if i have not gotten a bite i will change baits or just change the color. I always go wit my gut feeling when it comes to bait selection when i have not gotten bites on my preset baits. Like a tournament in June, I had one fish in the livewell with 2 hours to go and i was fishing a carolina rig and a dropshot for smallies. Something was telling me i needed to get a bottom present, like a Hula Grub on a 1/4 Jighead and drag it along the bottom. So i put it on my drop shot rod. I had 2 fish on and they all came off, within 30 minutes. S i thought i had weeds so i set the hook just in case and the drag starts going wild. on a ML rod with McCoy 6 lbs. Test I landed a 5 1/2 pound smallie in 5 minutes. Since then when my gut says its time to change i change and dont second guess myself.

Fishing Log Idea
I have found it to be a hassle to write everything down. Instead, I use a video camera or my cell phones voice memo to talk my fishing into, then i get home review it and put it on my computer. any of you guys do something similar?

What state are you from?
Lacey, WA 60 miles south of seattle. You ask 98% of the population in Washington and they dont even know what a bass is!!!!! Oh, Well. Great smallie and Largie fishing. Not too big though. State Record: Largemouth=11-4 Smallmouth= 8.75 ( I know the Guy who caught a 9.1 smallmouth and never got it "officially" weighed. now it is sitting on a shelf in his tackle shop with a sign above that states "If i was not hung over, from the night before, i would be the new WA state Smallmouth bass record Holder" LOL PS: it really does say that

some help with a dropshot please
Just to add on to Bass Hammer: 1. Any bait will work!!! 2. I usually use a 1/4 to 3/8 oz. sinker 3.leader. Anywhere from 6 inches to 3 feet. depending on how high the grass etc. is./ I usaully use a 12 inch leader. 4. the presentation is meant to give the fish a struggling baitfish look right in their nose and not move the rig.

Introducing myself and a question!
Welcome to the board. I would use McCoy fishing Line if you wanted the best Co-Polymer in the business at only $7 bucks a spool.

Deep timber Fish
I went out today on a lake that has ALOT of wood in the 15-25 foot range and have marked fish on these timber. I fished shallow for 3 hours throwing everything. then i go deep with a crank, and a drop shot and a c-rig and a little bit with the jig. just got hung-up and thats it. What are some of the best techniques for fishing these deep timber. I was puzzled today.

bass hatch
I would go with the too high in the water column. try a spoonbill jerkbait, or a deep diving crank (use like a jerkbait). they will go deeper and look more like it was aggressively feeding on these fry so "pops" comes along and wacks the crap out of your jerkbait.

birthday bullseye-shes a keeper!
My Birthday was August 4th. Sounds like she is a keeper.

Is this a correct assumption
Try Fishing any shaded cover, Also try a 1 ounce sinker and punch through the grass mats with creature baits and yank'em out with braided line.

Who do you go after for a sponsor and why?
I have applied to many companies, All of them i use their products and have full confidence in them and love their products to death. AS a Jr. Angler i like to start as early as i can in sponsorships so itcan lead to bigger and better sponsorships and get to know people in the business.
