  1. Sums it up pretty nicely for me as well.
  2. About the only bait I want to try.I'm in no hurry to pick up a pack for some reason.
  3. 5" stickbaits- 3/0 or 4/0 gammy wide gap or owner wide gap Spider grubs- Depending on size 1/0 to 3/0 or put them on round jig heads Yum Horny toad-5/0 wide gap gammy or owner Flipping tube- 3/0 or 4/0 depending on size tubes Shad/fluke-4/0 wide gap gammy or owner 5" lizard-(see stickbaits) The size of the bait and best hook penetration determines hook size.Adding weight determines the rate of fall.
  4. I had a neighbor who took me fishing when I was younger. My mom used to baby sit their youngest kid.Since nobody really fished in my family and neither did any of my friends,He was the only one that took me fishing a lot of times growing up.He was like a mentor to me,became almost like a second father figure. If it wasn't for him I don't think I would have ever really gotten to fish or have a passion for fishing like I do today.I found out Sunday that he died of leukemia.Heartbroken to say the least.
  5. Yup,Berkley powerworm. Also caught one on a tube bait and another one on a creature bait, and the last one on a brown weedless skirted jig with a brown trailer.
  6. Spinning: Powell 7'0 M/XF paired with daiwa 2000 with 6# CXX(weightless, tube baits, jerkbaits)My All round finesse combo I use the most. E21 Edge 6'8" MH/F paired with daiwa Tierra 2500 with 6# yo zuri hybrid Ultra Soft(Light jigs, weighted T-rigged,crankbaits) St.Croix 6'6" M/F paired with Daiwa exceler 2500 with 20# braid or 6# test yo zuri(use this @ work at the pond mainly) This might be turning into a walleye rod soon Casting: Shimano clarus 7'0 H/F paired with daiwa Fuego with 50# suffix 832 braid(Jigs, small swimbaits, frogs, also use this for heavy flipping plastics in grass) Big bear 7'0 MH/F paired with Citica 200D and 14# Trilene XL(spinnerbaits & some T-rigged weighted plastics) Cabela's fish eagle 7'0 H/F paired with Revo STX and 17# P-line CXX(Big worms,Heavy jigs, small swimbaits) Cabela's tourney 6'6" MH/MF paired with Quantum accurist 500 and 30# power pro braid(Lipless crankbaits and heavier crankbaits) Bass pro extreme 7'0" MH/F paired with Shimano curadoE7 and 14# Trilene XT(back up combo I really don't need and raely use...lol) I got a few other combos I don't use for bass fishing...but I do catch bass on them.

Skip gap hooks work pretty well holding tubes on T-rigged.
  8. Picking yourself up some spinnerbaits. Then watch this video. One of the best spinnerbaits videos online. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/spinnerbaits-bass-fishing.html
  9. Only when I'm fishing the pond at work during lunch break. Out on the rivers or lakes I never tell myself "last cast".So I never really know if my last cast really is going to be my last cast for the day.
  10. Still going slow as heck for me....
  11. I suppose if you have a big box full of already torn baits ready to be repaired, might be good stuff. Glad to hear they now putting them in glass bottles.Maybe the stuff will last longer.
  12. I use KVD line conditioner...Definitely helps. You can see the slight difference between a reel that has it sprayed and one that doesn't.
  13. Man you got some beautiful colors mixtures! Impressive! Those colors themes are anything but easy to do!I dabbled in it for awhile and it definitely takes practice, time and experience to get your baits to look as good as yours.
  14. My intentions were the same as yours,I use mine for northern pikes, walleyes and any other toothy guys in the water. That being said I never used BPS's but I do use econo lip grippers. They do the job just fine.
  15. I'm going to have to try this now....
  16. We are suppose to hit 64 on Saturday.
  17. It's the green one. In comparison they are pretty close,Big Bear is a tad stiffer.
  18. Yup,if anything though I prefer the heat.Absolutely hate the cold.

If you are an A hole to her, remember change your tune quickly. The quicker she forgives you the better off you are. I do it to mine when I'm having a bad day at work or something. She flat tell me "stop being a butthead". I don't do it on purpose either. Cleaning the house or cooking or taking her out to diner makes her forget all about what I might have did or said...LOL I would tell her though, you don't want anymore fishing clothes and maybe give her a wish list of some fishing stuff instead? Let her know where she can find it.That usually works for me.
  20. Yup,about as good as you'll get for under $50.
  21. Why? That BPS extreme rod works perfect...I got the same rod and love it for spinnerbaits. I recently got a big bear rod in 7" MH and I'm really liking that one as well for spinnerbaits too.
  22. I think Shimano's got something big up there sleeves this year. It's got me highly curious. I'm fixing to get rid my my Curado E. I liked the D series better even though they are a tad heavier. If I sell my curado, money is going toward whatever Shimano might be coming out with.
  23. I fully agree with that statement.
  24. Surprised you didn't try your plastic worms.Everything you tried was moving baits. Nothing suggested you were fishing tight covers slow. My plastic baits sit in one spot for sometimes up to 2 minutes before I even move it.I might even move it 3" then let it sit again. This is a good place to start. http://www.bassresource.com/how-to-fish/
  25. I've caught bass in 32 degree weather with a thin layer of ice on parts of the lake with a jig and plastic craw. I find crawdads all summer long under rocks. I say they work all year round.
