I've never gotten cut on salt.Never heard of anybody else getting cut by the salt either while rigging baits....However salt IN a cut hurts like heck! Just dip the bait in the water,then rig it.Might help,because salt dissolves as soon at it touches water.

I know somebody who had a drop of hot sauce that included the BHUT JOLOKIA pepper.His tongue swelled up and had a blister for a few days on his tongue.I don't recommend anybody trying the ghost pepper. My best friend's dad who can tolerate hot peppers like they are carrots,tried this BHUT JOLOKIA and he actually cried running for the fridge for milk. ;D

Only once did i get mad,lost a real nice one.I left my rod tip high letting it jump and when it did it shook the hook loose.I had to just flat sit down and stop fishing for a few minutes.Realizing what i did wrong.From the size of that bass it was a really,really nice one. Now when i lose a good bass i just laugh and say "I'm gonna get you next time!" In a joking manner. It happens...I've learned to get over it and keep fishing.

A white/chart spinnerbait is killer around here right now.

I feel the same way.I love split grip rods,I think they are just comfortable. However on a reaction bite type lure I like to have full grip on the handle while working the bait.

I carry a backpack and a small shoulder bag from gander mountains.My backpack carries my two binder of plastics,scale,1 3700 box of worms and a jar of my home made scent.Plus an extra spool of line for my spinning rig,i can just swap out the spool and be ready to go again.When you river fish I think it's a must to have an extra spool of line just in case. My shoulder bag carries everything else from lures,tools,jigs,weights and hooks.

Fight was awesome,he was using that current to his advantage though. Only jumped once by the boat.I had my rod tip down....I didn't want to lose him.

X2.....My best producing bait has been the tube this year.Looks like I'll be throwing the Gitzit tube Saturday and delicate a smallmouth in his honor as well.

Went a little over 4# on my econo scale lip gripper i brought last year.It was caught on a 4" yum dinger T-rigged on 1/8 oz bullet weight. It was in 15-20 Feet of water. Went out on a boat last Friday with buddies of mine,started out walleye fishing for dinner.Both my buddies limited out with their 5 walleyes,to mine a big flat ZERO.I'll be the first to admit,I can't catch walleyes even when i tried.Had the same rigs,baits and style.Goes to prove even with same rigs you need to know how to catch them and i apparently don't. My buddy had the picture on his cell phone,but accidentally deleted it before he could send me it. :'( He's still apologizing for deleting it since this morning... ;D He feels bad about it. It wasn't his fault,i should have brought a camera. This was my first boat trip since i was a little kid.I used to be terrified of boats...needless to say,now i want a boat.My wife ain't happy about hearing i want one now. ;D All in all i had a great time and thought i share with you guys.I really wish i had the picture to share as well.Maybe next time my dumb self will remember to bring my own camera. :-[

You don't need a baitcaster,I can do everything with my spinning rig that baitcasters can do.It's just personal preferences. That being said,baitcasters are fun to learn and a good add into your arsenal of fishing tackle. That piece of tape is a life saver specially when you are new to baitcasting.I've done it to one reel starting out.Once you get used to baitcasting the tape isn't needed much,because you'll be able to stop the backlashes with your thumb before it gets out of control.It's all about "practice,practice,practice".
