  1. Awesome fish! Now you got me anxious to get out tomorrow.
  2. Brings back memories! I remember in 85' some old guy taught me how to rig this. Put a #2-#4 hook on use the left over tag to tie a bolt or nut on(what we used to use instead of sinkers).Tipped with any kind of live bait like crickets, worms, wax worms, grubs, centipede and either bread or cheese. I've caught thousands of bluegills, white bass and crappies with this rig.
  3. It happens,I wouldn't worry about it.Sometimes losing interest in something just happens. I used to be a avid paintball player. Heck I stopped fishing for 10 years because i lost interest in it for awhile as well.I had more important things going on in my life. One reason to this day is why i won't fish tournaments, because once i turn my hobby into work i get sick of it after awhile. Our Bass season closes in Dec. with the hard winters up here...so in the spring time I'm roaring to get out. ;D
  4. Don't feel bad...i spelled it like that too... ;D I use Gman's jigs and that's what he has on there.
  5. Who says baseball doesn't bring the family closer? http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/Phillies-daddy-daughter-duo-enjoy-moment-in-spo?urn=mlb,190220 I think my kid would have done the same thing... ;D
  6. I'm just curious,is there a video out there that shows how to do it the right way?I know most of it is common sense, but some of it specially with just one person launching the boat just looks hard to me. I've watched a few people, and you can tell quickly who has experience from the new inexperience guys. I just hope when i get a boat one day, trying to launch it in a timely fashion.
  7. welcome!
  8. welcome aboard!
  9. Unemployed auto steel worker in MI. going on 9 months now. I used to load 30,000-40,000lbs steel coils and slit them down to size according to customer specifications. Also was the slitter machine operator of those big machines. They usually consist of a 3-4 man crew to run those machines. General labor & manufacturing jobs are almost non-existence here still.
  10. I forgot meijers ;D.....They are actually better than Walmarts around here too.If you hit that store at the right time you can pick Rapala's and bomber lures for next to nothing.Problem is somebody always beats me to the sales.Clearing those racks out of every single bait.
  11. Since Walmart changed everything up they suck now around here. They have absolutely nothing. Dick's has great sales on their baits when you can catch them.I tend to go there for baits and baits only. Gander mountains has everything, but you will be paying full retail for most stuff.Only thing i buy from them mostly is hooks, they have my owner hooks in stock. Bass pro is just too far for me this year and to be honest everything is full retail and way to expensive. Cabela's,I got mad at the store last time because they had absolutely nothing for bass fishing and is directed more at the walleye fishermen. This was in the fall last year,so i only visit them in the spring when bass season here starts(this year i didn't).Even then, expect to pay full retail for the stuff there too. I MISS SPORTSMAN WAREHOUSE! Since they closed them up....nobody has came close to their stuff and prices. I was so mad making a 30 minute trip only to find a vacant building.
  12. $5-$6+ a pack + shipping=way to expensive for me. I don't know anybody here locally that carries them.
  13. Welcome aboard,Fishing is a good addiction to have.
  14. "He was Black." Think I'm joking? That was his excuse. He has a lot of excuses....which none of them hold him accountable for his own actions. I despise the guy to be honest....I don't know why people still like him.His music isn't even that great anymore.
  15. I dunno what the heck i did,but it is an awesome reel. It's a $3 part to replace,so not really a big deal. I was shocked when i discovered it though.I need to watch what I'm doing i guess. I'm looking to get another one sooner or later. It's been close to 2 years now since I've had this reel and i gave this sucker a workout!
  16. He has a thing against white people winning over him or his "people". If you ever notice that.I love his college drop out Cd and anything after that is sub-par at best. His excuse was "He was drunk." :
  17. That wee-dee is worth something.Ain't too many of them out there. Looks like you found a nice set of collectible lures!
  18. I'm very curious,I found a bunch of grooves dug into my bail arm on my Daiwa Tierra 2500 spinning reel.I just noticed this and when i went to figure out how it happened. It looks as if when my lure gets snagged and i use the bow n' arrow technique to free the lure, the line is rubbing on my bail arm.I'm using trilene xl line. Has anyone experience those grooves on the bail arm like that? It's right by where the reel roller wraps the line onto the spool. I got a new Bail arm part coming...so it is getting replaced, but i was wondering if this happened to anybody else...because this is a first for me.
  19. Welcome to Bass Resource!

  21. Welcome aboard!
  22. Reason why when i brought my Sol and a member said i could swap out for a Fuego i did.Very thanksful for this member here for allowing me to do that. I thought about it and decided the Fuego would be the better choice.I use my spinning rig for lighter baits anyways.
  23. In seriousness,This might the bait I'm looking for,I don't use cranks much because i can't find one weedless enough to properly work from shore.
  24. Going to remember that advice...Found a bag while cleaning the fishing room today.
