Hey it should be cool to disagree, no problem. It could be that we might be on the same point, I know I start more arguments with typing words than in person, proves that I'm not good at typing words to explain I will quote myself again "we both are friends together with friends, we don't have our own friends anymore. If I or my wife had a friend that didn't care for one of us then they no longer was our friend. Its a marriage now." What I can try to hit on in this is that we are a team now, we are a couple that have no separate checking accounts-my money is her money and vise verse. we do things together in life so, this includes friends, that's all. I'm not preaching morality here either, just my IMHO. We don't use leashes or accuse one another, we just try not to be ignorant towards life, who knows what might happen to us? Its gonna be 20 years this August and we seem to be going stronger than ever. Now for a true fact we all should agree on No one can know what goes on in another's head. I've seen good friends for years (really close friends)get peed off at each other(usually booze involved). Then what? Well you could be accused of just wanting to come over to "supposedly" fix the car? They might claim they never asked you to come over. I've seen that exact issue happen. I do realize that it just might be the new generation outlook here. and Lord knows its way off from me, and thats OK. So I say in good report, Good luck with it all

To be honest...nope,she wouldn't have a problem. She knows them too. I've already gone to somebody else house because their battery died on the car or they locked them self out of the house.I just say "Be right back,so and so locked herself out or something." Then stay for an hour just talking and shooting the breeze. It all comes back to trust....because my wife knows I'm loyal and put her first. There is no reason to doubt me or vice versa for her. Like i said My wife and family is first, all my friends know that.Anybody with common sense can tell that. But i sure ain't going to blow off a friend if she just wants to stop by and say Hi.
  5. Keep checking back...No telling.Start saving money to go back and start stocking up. Ours closed as well....wasn't even open a full year. I almost :'( for real when i made the trip over there early this year only to find a brand new empty warehouse with "for sale" sign on.I completely missed out.

I still disagree....We have no problems who our friends are we know them all.My wife knows mine and i know hers.It may be a different case with you and yours.Perhaps trust issues with your friends? No offense. : It's not like I'm best friends with my ex or something. Then i can see where it'd be a problem. You got different views or different friends, because none of my friends would pull that crap, neither would hers. You guys are putting "female companions" and "friends" in the same category. If i was your wife i probably wouldn't want you hanging out with other females either the way you guys think.Simply because you are coming off as you couldn't trust yourself around them. My only female companion is my wife.....others are just "friends". And yes...i spend more time with my wife than my friends.Blowing off friends just because you got married is just stupid.

I think I'm confusing you. I'm not saying control her,I mean control yourself.Don't whistle at every fine lady that comes along...If you truly love your wife/mate/girlfriend you wouldn't be doing that otherwise I'd take a second look at the relationship again. I just don't see anything wrong with having friends of opposite sex.I have a few friends who are chick and she has a few friends who are guys. You are right though,it starts with trust muddy. This is where people mess up,if they can't trust their mate, they shouldn't be together.

It's called control.I disagree with not having friends of the opposite sex. My wife has no problems with my chick friends. Since i relate to my friends as brothers & sisters, thinking about an affair is the last thing. It doesn't "just happen" either. That's just a bunch of bull. I think the problem lies more in going to the bar with your buddies and not thinking about the consequence when you had a little too much and start flirting with others. That's how affairs start more than anything.
  9. I have never had a problem when i did this.Don't remember where I've seen this done before. Put the fresh spool in a bowl of water, string the line through the eyes and tie onto your reel.Put a little pressure on your line as you reel and fill the reel. It's supposedly coming off the spool the right way and onto the reel when doing this.I just wish i remember where i learned this.I'm not even sure if this is even true or not.I've done it this way and i didn't have one single problem when i did that. I use my berkley spooling station now.So i don't do this anymore.
  10. If this record stands, this is going to be great for America now.We are going be trying even harder to beat it. So where's Dottie II? ;D
  11. Mepps Aglia in size #3,#4 or #5. I make my own in size #4 and they are killer on smallmouth bass.
  12. You're exactly right. Some members just like to get the last word in no matter what. Once you've said what you wanted to say, (respectfully), leave it alone. I understand where you guys are coming from.
  13. Found this at another board...enjoy!
  14. Well, he ruined his online reputation this year at Kentucky Lake... Jethro Wurly Burley is a great guy! He's one generous son-of a-gun, too! BTW, The "Dinkmaster" landed the second biggest bass on the trip. 8-) I believe that....
  15. It shouldn't have to be that way though. There's been a few kids I've seen get scared away because of grammar problems or asking too many questions. I've been trying to show respect to everybody....to be honest,I'd love to fish with all you guys one day. Burley scares me though..... ;D

I have yet to come across a mean chihuahua yet. They shake like crazy though... ;D Poodles however....I've been bit by them more times than i care to tell. My best friend was attacked by a doberman when he was 8.Still has the scars to show for it.Looks like somebody took a razor blade and started slicing up his back and left side.Settled on a lawsuit. His dad didn't tell me all the details, but they were able to buy a house because of it.Once he turned 21 the house was his.

I still get mixed feeling about pits talking to certain people. Some people love them and think they are the kindest dogs, other think they are Natural born killers. Most people here have them to look "tough".
  18. I hated the line.It split like a banana peel 10 feet from the lure.I would cut off, retie and it would do it again after a couple of casts. So i ended up stripping and tossing it out. That experience turned me away from it.
  19. Let me keep my experience that i have...nothing else.
  20. You can have our rain...we getting rain from Sunday all the way to Thursday.Every lake I've been to this past 2 weeks have had the flood gates open.I'm getting tired of this heavy current and coffee stain waters.

I need something settled. It's a debate on pitbulls. My question is do pitbulls have a locking jaw or is it just the fact of greater pressure they can apply? Reason why i ask this...because years ago i seen a guy shoot a pitbull who had his dog in the neck and killed the pitbull...but it never released it's jaw...they had to pry the dead pitbull apart from his dog. Can you explain why to me?
  23. Good one....
  24. Thanks for that information.I'm looking for a cheap spinning rod suitable for cranks....now comes the hard part in convincing the wife why i need one more rod. ;D Lightening rods are for budget anglers who really can't afford to spend big bucks right now. They do get the job done, they lack in some departments of quality and sensitivity. For their price range it's to be expected.
