Got out today and hammered the smallmouths near the dam.But that's not the story i'm here to share. The story is i reeled in a 17 1/2 smallmouth in front of 20 something guys and then let it go.I continued to do this from 1pm-7pm.Well everybody kept coming to me asking me why i was letting them go,what i was using...blah,blah,blah(i was getting sick of this and told them nothing...lol).I told them if they want my fish they can catch them.I'd like to see somebody else get the excitement of recatching it and reeling it in.Well,not long after that a little kid came(about 8-9 years old).He dropped in his little zebco rig with a minnow and not more than 10 minutes later he catches my 17 1/2 inch smallmouth.His excitement went through the roof! Even though he decided to keep it i was happy for him. That made my day....It couldn't have happened to a better kid. I bet he's hooked for life now.

Chauncey Billups is the man! Been a fan of his since his days as a Piston. I just hated the fact people were comparing Kobe to Jordan.Kobe ain't that much of a better player,much less should never be compared to the greatness M. Jordan was. Word,I want to see the Lakers get crushed too.

Nature of the beast with spinning reels.Specially with cheaper ones. Close the bail manually by hand,pull line tight before retrieving line and add swivels to spinning type lures will reduce your line twist dramatically. I have a cheaper set up with braided line and I've yet to have any problems with line twist.If I'm worried about the fish seeing my line I'll add a fluorocarbon leader in clear water.

I've gone back to 14# trilene XT.

I'm jealous,i love crayfish boils. I used to have a neighbor who was from Louisiana and he would bring back a tub full of them.Best party i ever been to...I must have ate at least 50-100 of them...

Vaseline and LC crayfish scent.(not giving out the secrets to the whole recipe) I make it in a spaghetti sauce jar.If you take a good whiff of it,it'll smell like that jar is having a crayfish party.It's that strong. Since i've used it twice i haven't skunked out yet,they seem to be holding it a little longer allowing me to set the hook late...lol I've really lost my confidence in garlic base scents since I never see the difference in hook up rate or the bass "hold time".It's almost like they despise that stuff here. :-/

Yup,that guy would have been dead if it wasn't for his PFD and his kill switch. Whoever caught that video isn't allowing any negative comments as it was his friend who pulled that stupid stunt in the first place. It's kinda hard for me to feel bad for idiots like this sometimes. :-/ I really hope they learned something from that experience.

I love buying lures. Problem is i never have enough money to buy them. ;D I compare buying fishing lures like a heavy scotch drinker likes his liquor.It'll dry your bank account right up.

Nature's music is all i need. Sound of the wind,trees,fish splashing,birds screaming,ducks quacking....ect,ect. I find it soothing to the soul.....

I used to do this too when i was a kid(6-7 years old)...raising tadpoles are fun. I had a pond in the back of my old old house and used to catch them,raise them, and let them go when they full matured.I remember seeing like over 200-300 frogs in that field.Everybody hated them but me.... ;D

I'd rather owe them a small amount than give them my money interest free for the entire year. I change my with holdings each year to try and get as close to zero as possible. ahhh,I see what you are saying.Most people don't change it....that's what kills them.Plus you need to know how much you may be earning that year.I assume you are probably pretty good at doing that.

Why don't you change your withholdings so that you get more each week? Worst mistake you can make tyrius.I do what Gman does and tell them to take as much as they can.7 years ago i tried that "little as i could" i ended up owning money. I file "0"...that's a lot of money coming out of each paycheck.But i ain't hurting at the end of the year.

http://www.custombassfishinglures.com/ You can do whatever you want...many times i just order the jigs by as much bulk as i can afford at the moment and i have a skirt maker.So i just make up my own skirts to my liking.I like fiddling around with my stuff. However he does a real nice job on the skirts matching what you want.If it's something customized he'll do it for you upon request. I'd pour my own,but to be honest,i'd rather skip the making/pouring process and all the money you have to throw into to make your own jigs.Guess you have to have a real deep passion and fish enough to make your own. Time is also something i really don't have to make them either. It's all your own choices on what you want. Give him a PM and he'll help you on anything.
