  1. Slow down little boy, Don't forget the matching wallet for the purse. Coach wallets cost as much as the purses. I think he's in for a surprise if he thinks he's going to get to spend more than half of that money. If anything i bet the wife will spend $900 and he'll get $150-200,because remember whatever dinner, desert and everything else is going to cost is going toward his spending money. ;D
  2. I guess it is a curse,I never had one snap on me either unless i snag it. You are doing something wrong...whatever it is good luck in finding the solution.
  3. I do this sometimes. I usually say "plastic lure" and leave it as that.I show them what I'm using sometimes, but that's as far as i go. Most folks around here do not practice C & R.
  4. Well said....I think he has the best jigs for the best price. I don't kick myself in the head anymore when i lose so many now.
  5. So which one of you guys is this?

  7. Don't be afraid to go to the main site and reads those fishing articles. Those should provide you hours of reading and learning. Then apply what you've learned and go from there. It's definitely a start of an addicting/hobby.

You couldn't be more wrong. Pay carefully attention, some tubes fall slower or faster, some tubes shimmy on the fall, while others fall left or right. This was all using the same weight, same rigging technique.I was quite surprise when i discovered this while changing tubes one day.The action on one brand of tube different from another brand. Combat fishing tubes are probably one of the most unique tubes because they fall extremely slower than the regular market tubes. The fact that they are double dipped makes all the difference in the world.
  9. Buy the Owner Screw Lock hooks. They're awesome hooks. I know ExtremeLures.com (a board sponsor) sells them. X2...that was my solution to the problem as well.
  10. Well said,That my issue right now....still trying to work out that kink.
  11. I'm happy for the guy. I'm trying to keep up with the story and progress.Hopefully somebody here will keep us updated, because i don't have half the brain to know how to keep updated on what's going on at the other side of the world.I'm guessing it's going to be awhile for the official word set in stone. With this being an invasive specie for them,I'm just wondering if they are going to accept this record there as a good thing or bad thing.
  12. skunked_again,Care to explain that to me?How does that work? Just never seen that done before like that.
  13. Looks like you guys did good.Largemouth bass have been elusive around here lately for me.Good to see somebody still catching them up here in MI.
  14. I'm glad I'm a beef jerky guy. I feel bad for the Slim Jim eaters.
  15. You have to realize at academy, everybody and there granny is grabbing those rods bending them, shaking them around, hitting them on things and dropping them.. I can't tell you how many ive watched my dad break in that store. Little kids too. They can get pretty beat up in a store like that. Especially around children. You ain't kidding.... I've seen store clerks at Cabela's take a rod and bend it on the floor.I thought to myself "Man,that can't be good for their rods".I guess he was trying to show the stiffness/action to somebody.Didn't make any sense to me to be honest.
  16. Happened here as well.Take RW advice and stock up. I completely missed the deals here,as i didn't even know they were closing down. They just build it last year and already shut it down as well.Dang shame, that place was awesome!

I'm the other way around. Jig 75% vs Texas rig 25% Jigs stand out more for me.It brings the bait to life for me,as T-rigs just look too lifeless.
  20. Straight from Rage tail website It minimizes the chance of deformity of the baits.I just leave them in the Original packages.
  21. Daiwa fuego is an extremely nice reel, but far from easy to cast with it.Shimano curado is much easier to cast. This is from personal experience. I'm getting real close to getting rid of my Daiwa fuego. :'( Right now i'm just using it as my 1/2 oz or higher weight jig set-up.Anything under i keep getting overruns. Never tried the Pflueger Patriarch so i can't comment on it.Pflueger Trion was an easy casting reel(i was impressed),i just couldn't figure out the brakes on it.So i ended up giving somebody a deal on it @ the flea market.
