What Brand / Model Of Light Hikers ???
Agreed, good quality is gonna be tough in that price range. I think if you are truly looking for a good quality product you may have to save up until you are in the 100.00 range. Can't go wrong with Redwing, Muck, or Irish Setters

Looking About Bass Boats.. Or Dreaming
Being from Michigan there are SOO many lakes that are 1000 acres or less your 93 nitro is perfect. You cannot swing a dead cat without hitting a lake in Mi. If you are talking about lakes like Erie, Michigan and St.Clair you just have to pick your days and be very conscious of weather conditions. I have fished St. Clair, Erie and the Bay in my 18 ft Stratos with no issues. However, I always new what the weather was doing before I left the dock. Fortunately, if you start saving money now you might be able to afford a "Newer" rig sometime around 21 As Rick Clunn said "The boat doesn't make the fisherman" good luck

St Clair Opening Day For C & R
Unfortunately gonna miss this year as I moved to Cincinnati, OH. However, the last four years we had great days despite the weather. We have averaged about 45 fish ranging between 2-4lbs over the last few years. Drifting the mile roads from 16 down to 9mile Rattletraps and jerkbaits were the best

Opinion On 1994 Procraft V170B
From the Pics it appears that the boat has some fairly bad oxidation. It could be dust or dirt. For a 94 that price is a bit steep IMO I have a 96 Stratos that I paid $5000 for 3 years ago and it had new tires, two SS props, a cover, all lowrance electronics, 4 idfferent seats, new PFDs, and three new batteries, not to mention it had been garage kept and the gelcoat looked, and still does, like new

Easter Tablefare
LMAO! My grandfather used to raise rabbits and I used to feed them celery when I was a kid. I didn't know why he raised them, just that they were never around for too long. Then, one evening we were eating dinner and I had eaten what I thought was two helpings of chicken, WRONG. There was Fluffy, all crisp and juicy sitting with gravy and mashed taters. Rabbit Stew with wild mushrooms, corn, celery and leeks is also very tasty. The rabbit compliments the wild mushrooms very well. And, if you can get wild picked Morels, forget about it....... One of the things I will surely miss about leaving Michigan is the wild Morel season that is about to start in a few weeks.

Easter Tablefare
These are wild cottontails. Pen raised rabbits are much better tasting as they are sweeter and juicier. When I have used them in the restaurants they were all pen raised as well. Although, wild rabbits work better for frying.

Easter Tablefare
Caccitore sounds awesome. After hunting rabbit, a hot breakfast of fried rabbit and dumplings is hard to beat. Easter or not, I am getting hungry for some bunny.

Easter Tablefare
I respect your opinion. However, if you have never had rabbit prepared you are truly missing out. The meat is very sweet and delicate. It cannot really be compared to chicken as it is more flavorful and tender. Many high end bistros carry a form of rabbit with some type of demi glaze. Often times is will be a rasberry or blackberry. I often prepare it with a cranberry chutney and a wild mushroom risoto. There is a very famous restaurant in Chicago that serves a Rattlesnake/Rabbit appetizer that truly melts in your mouth. You would never know what you were eating if you were not told. Dont be a green eggs and ham....

Easter Tablefare
Ok, I realize I am a bit off in the head. That being said, is it wrong to serve fried Rabbit on Easter Sunday???? I happen to really enjoy it and my 11 yr old thinks it is hilarious and he loves it. My wife thinks I am the ant-christ for doing so. It has now been a three year tradition and as you can imagine, all of the relatives think it is disgusting as well. But, that is what Mother-in-laws are supposed to think

Skeet Reese Package
Since Stratos and Champion merged their new line of boats are Fantastic looking IMO. I looked at one during the travel boat show over the winter and it looked like a Champion and a Stratos 201 had a baby, an expensive baby. The lines looked great, it had ample storage, and a huge casting deck. The gauge cluster was firm and thick fiberglass, not like the Z-9s. It had a Line X coated trailer which I thought was genious. If I had 64K I would buy one... I have a stratos and love it. Good Luck

Fuel Additives - How Often / What Strength?
Sam Seafoam in the oil? That one I have not heard of. If you treat the gas and have a two stroke doesn't the additive mix at some point anyway?

Fouled Plugs = Carb Issue???
Way2Slow I appreciate your opinion as you are entitled to it. And, I would like to thank you for your posts since I have been a member because you have saved me hours and hours as well as probaly hundreds of dollars in costly repair bills from your posts and insight. It is people like you, Catt, Jack (RIP), Glenn and the other long timers who "make" this site what it is. I would hate to see any of the core members leave for any reason but I DO respect your opinions. You being on the forum is like Crash Davis (Kevin Kostener) in Bull Durham. Your great at hitting home runs and mentoring the young and impressionable fisherman here on the forum. Thanks

Crank Bait Packaging

Is It Just Me?
I guess I am not the norm, as it seems to me that there are more newcomers on the site than older regulars. However, as mentioned, the switch came just about ice out time for much of the country and many people are on the water. Every year I have been on the site, which aren't many yet, the site gets punded all winter and the first sign of sun and clear water it is like the site shut down. give it time folks.. Any new marketing tool has to be in place at least 8-12 weeks before real knowledge is gained as far as effectiveness is concerned. The new format does take a bit to get used to but as the site moves forward this platform will allow infinite numbers of benefits to every member of the site. Most people fear and loathe change though. If you always do what you've always done, you will never do what you never could

Fouled Plugs = Carb Issue???
Seafoam is always used in my engine year round. I treat the tank with every fill up. I have not tried StarTron. Actually, I have never seen it? Do you purchase it at a specialty autoparts store or is it carried in the big box locations? Hopefully, I will be able to take the boat out this Wed., barring the rain that is forecast, and see if the new plugs have fixed the issue.

Morels!
They are magic when sauteed in a cast iron skillet with a little butter and garlic and placed over the top of a nice bone in ribeye......

Boat Cover
How long and wide is the boat? One that I would NOT recommend is the BPS trailerlite. I purchased one and had to trailer my boat from Michigan to Cincinnati as soon as I put on the cover every plastic buckle snapped in two. EVERY ONE. I had to cut and tie a knot to hold the cover down and promptly returned it to BPS upon arrival in Ohio.

Fouled Plugs = Carb Issue???
Wayne Seafoam goes into every engine I own, all year. I would buy it by the 50gal drum barrel if I could. you can almost immediately tell the difference in an engine after running a tank of seafoam treated gas through.
