The Riverkeepers can't be everywhere which is why the pictures are important. Dead fish of 2-3 days ago would be long gone by now if I went out there today. or there could be more and more popping up dead its a like a 15 minute drive for you to get there if youre that concerned could be or maybe they're all gone . Ernie was merely offering to fwd this info to his buddy. You seem more concerned that he is, maybe you should go take a look.

sounds like carp to me. carp are a bronze, yellow, reddish, brown fish. pretty hard to miss. not many fish in our waters with the same body profile.

Nope, all catch and release. My cooler was filled with drinks, no room for fish! I had a really nice one that got off....oh well.

you mean stuff like rebel crickhoppers? i havent fished at algonkian since i was a kid and our family had reunions there, im going to get out there this summer and try it out. not to thread hijack, but has anyone ever fished out of Bles Park? I've got cicada look a like lures that do very well! white/clear curly tail grubs on small jig heads too!

Oh my! If you know how to fly fish, algonkian has some monster blue gill! I catch them on my ML rod with 1000 size spinning reel on small top water lures and love it!!!

Fished them in lily pads this weekend. A few strikes but no hook ups. Murky water must be messing with their vision.

I LOVE lowtide. it keeps the bassboats back while us kayakers tear it up.

I know a few guys that have a lot of success on the upper potomac. I haven't had that much success myself though. I've fish from algonkian a few times from my kayak and have caught a lot of fish but nothing big. I'd be more than happy to go with you one day and share whatever knowledge i do have.

Very impressive! I'm guilty of the full arms length thing too . only pic I have of a fish next to my body was this one of a 4lbs. 5ozer. and a boca grip! BALLER! too rich for my blood. regardless, nice work out there. Burke is a tough fishery.
