  1. uhh...that doesn't sound good at all. i hope that deer died for reasons unrelated to the water.
  2. I got out on Mercer with the kayak on Saturday. Water was murky and 48-49 degrees. Marked fish on the graph but couldn't get anything to bite. I was there from noon till about 4:30. Still had a great time on the water though.
  3. Nice job Ron!! I know it didn't happen last year but let's get out this year!
  4. The wind was brutal the last two times I was out there. The wind is brutal EVERY time I'm there! lol I think I'm going to hit up some local lakes with the kayak. See if these chatterbaits and big water moving baits work out for me. tight lines everyone!
  5. Are you beating the bank or getting on the water some how? It's going to be hard finding good water to fish. Most, if not all, bodies of water will have a lot of run off and will be very murky! At least that's what i think.... I'm still trying to figure out where to go this weekend too...
  6. A few of us went a year or two ago and had a blast! I thought we posted a report here but not sure. I'll look for it when I'm at a computer. Definitely doable, just don't go alone or be careless and you'll have fun
  7. aren't both these pretty low?
  8. I think its safe to wade in the potomac. I see people wading it all the time and I even wade the upper parts every summer. here's a link to virginia's fish consumption advisory http://www.vdh.state.va.us/epidemiology/dee/publichealthtoxicology/advisories/
  9. Is this directed towards me?! how dare you! put me down as a maybe probably might show up.
  10. I think I'll be free but that's going to be cold as balls.
  11. oooh yeah, forgot about the length. I don't know if VA cares much about citations....all you need is a witness to sign off on it I think. the form is on the dgif website.
  12. I believe the citation size is 8lbs. http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/fishing/trophy/sizechart.asp Very nice catch! especially for this time of the year. There's a pond I fish in King George but I'm thinking it's frozen right now.... >
  13. oh my! I think those are the hayfield ponds!
  14. Chocolate milk, that's for sure.
  15. Is that really necessary? I believe he uses an xtools scale, which IMO is pretty accurate. In any case, you should keep those kinds of comments to yourself. Nice fish buddy! We really need to get out this season. Let me know when you're available next and I'll try and make time.
  16. bring all your expensive stuff!
  17. from what i know, this is all wrong.
  18. I love wading for smallies but haven't had the chance to this year. Definitely trying to go sometime soon though. be nice to cool off. Very nice smallie! I'll be sure to share some info once I develop some.....
  19. yes, that's our buddy thai. ahhhhhhhhhh so jealous! very nice work out there guys!
  20. I like your friends hat! Nice work! I need to get out there this season before it closes.
  21. Awesome! I'm super jealousss. These reports make me want to get a rez runner more and more...
  22. Whoa! you caught a smallie in huntsman? I never knew they were in there..
  23. I cringed when i saw that picture. good luck but get a lipper or gloves please
  24. All could be very productive but Burke will be tough. I'd try and beat the heat and go as early as possible. Also would help you beat the crowds. I'd expect Burke to get prettty crowded. You could also fish the occoquan reservoir out of fountainhead and rent a jon boat there. it's going to be hot!
  25. out of curiousity, yes. Great idea. I'm going to suggest putting fishing regs on the website to our friend on the av committee.
