  1. Fished a local lake with a buddy and nailed a keeper and a nice bluegill off a pop-r within the first half hour of fishing. Lots of swirls everywhere in the shallows. The fish I caught were up on the rocks by the dam though. I'll have a more detailed report with pix but not here, pm me for details. I don't like lurkers.
  2. Wayne will give you very good information! It's knowing how to use it that I fail at. I totally forgot to report to him how I did at Briery after he gave me some awesome details. Probably cuz I didn't do to well :-[. I really need to get back out to Hunting run this year. Good luck Josh!
  3. not sure. mudkart went to scope out the local lakes to see what was good. waiting to hear back from him.
  4. any luck? a few buddies and I are going to head out tonight to see if we can find some fish.
  5. Man can you catch'em..... just awesome shimmy!

I feel like this is another kick to Campbell. I doubt he'll stay with the skins, and if he does, I don't think he'll have the motivation to succeed...
  7. That's amazing! Nice fish!
  8. Might have been the catfish?
  9. bassslayer, was it pretty crowded?
  10. how far are you from huntingrun? I hear that place can produce some good numbers AND size.
  11. You make fishing sound so stressful. Relax bro! yeah....makes me not want a boat or at least make sure I only go out on a boat with someone who enjoys it. Aaron Martin always "got the trolling motor" so maybe I should just fish with him (god I hate that show).
  12. barely beats out my previous PB of 7lbs. 4oz. this one was 7lbs. 6oz.
  13. My buddy jeremy and I did fairly well with about 40 bass between the two of us. My average bass was 2lbs with my biggest being the one in my avatar (7+ lbs). his average was 1.5lbs, biggest was a 4.5lber. we were throwing blue/black jigs and laydowns on steep banks. I think he got smaller fish because he was fishing a smaller jig. pretty much cookie cutters cept for the piggys
  14. Nice report! Sounds like a tough day indeed. I was surprised how well I did on saturday. I thought the temp drop would definitely turn the fish off, but it seems it did on most other bodies of water.
  15. As an alternative, if you want to fish occoquan reservoir out of fountainhead, they sell minnows at the baitshop where you rent motors and stuff.
  16. Very nice! Where did you go and what did you catch it on? The cooler weather this past weekend kept me off the water, though I wanted to try for some catch-and-release stripers in the Occoquan River. friend's private pond. off black and blue jig.
  17. I'm about to order some stuff and prep my yak. took it out for the first time last weekend and caught my new personal best on it. This yak is money.
  18. I don't think I've ever had that problem before. I show up around sunrise and am usually able to get a rental
  19. Oh snaps! I'll have to clear my schedule!
  20. interesting idea but im confused. is it an organization or is just a dude wanting to take his kid fishing?
  21. That's an awesome idea Ernie! Have you gone around those lakes with fish finders yet?
  22. Congrats! I've got an Eagle Cuda 350 that I plan to mount on it (together with a ram mount and a Cabelas 12V battery), but I haven't gotten around to doing it yet. I'd love some company if you're looking to set yours up. I'm out of town at the moment but will return next week. For what it's worth, I was also thinking about getting a push pole for sight fishing. Haven't pulled the trigger yet... Actually, a few of are thinking of getting together and having a kayak rigging partay haha probably won't happen but a nice thought. Simonsays and I were looking at maybe using this http://kayakfishinggear.com/liberatorbymadfroggear-fishfinderplatformandtransducerarmdeployershownwithaportablefishfindernotincluded.aspx instead of permanently mounting the transducer. not sure yet though. I have a hummingbird piranha portable but I might upgrade. I made some really ghetto stake out poles last year. I wonder if they'd be long enough to be used as push poles.
  23. DC, is your PA rigged? I just bought a PA and would like some rigging tips.
  24. Good luck Ernie!!!! Are there any pbass in those canals?
  25. beaverdam is tough! My friends gone 3 times and got skunked all 3 times this year. it can be a tough body of water to figure out. Lately, the fish around me have been pretty close to shore. I'd be up for the 4 miler action but it can get pretty crowded on the weekends.
