  1. I think it is a combo of all three things. Some scales are wrong, but you point out three pound difference. I doubt that. Those instances the people are just exagerating the weight of their fish or it is a poor picture of the fish. I know that my previous PB of 6lbs 12oz almost always got the comment that fish has to be 8lbs. It wasn't it was just a great picture of a nice fish. On the other hand my new PB of 9lbs 2oz photographed very poorly IMO.
  2. Nice fish, man.

  5. That is an awesome story right there. Way to go for you and your son.
  6. Welcome .
  7. Welcome. great adivce has already been given.
  8. Welcome . You should make a post in the General section so everyone can give you a welcome. I would suggest you buy any Medium heavy 6'6"-7' rod in a price range you are comfortable with. Thats a good all around rod that you can fish many techniques with and thats probably the best answer I can give without more specifics. Don't blame me when you have bought thousands of dollars of tackle and gear though. My fishing addiction got started with a Shakespear spinning combo won a Ducks Unlimited dinner.

    Welcome.
  11. I finally broke down and gave braid a try this year. Spooled it on my flipping set up and the PowerPro is still green. Since i've never used braid before I can't totally credit Line and Lure, but from what I heard it should of lost a lot of its color by now. It has lost very little. Also I've yet to have a single backlash with the braid. Again, in fairness, I have no prior experience with braid so this may be normal.

Nice one, but i'm having a tough time figuring out if your being serious. :-/
  13. I laughed out loud at the thought of you thinking thats how you spell the city you live in. Classic ;D. For the record the city you live in is spelled Kronenwetter.
  14. I've never heard of a city that doesn't meter each home. How in the he11 could they get that passed without some serious city council ramifications. I assumed you were talking about a community on a community well or something. What city do you live in???? Nevermind I missed it below your avatar.
  15. I know. I hate those pesky people that have pride in ownership and care about protecting their investment by maintaining property values. : I don't think its neccesarily fair that the water bill is split and your forced to pay regardless of your usage, but I also think its your duty to check into this prior to moving. So unless someone held a gun to your head to get you to move there, shame on you.
  16. 100 water bill???? Thats nothing. I've had $400.00+ in the summer. If I don't irrigate my bill is 25-45 dollars. Water must be considerablly higher in TX.

  18. Awesome...........those are two nice ones.
  19. Awesome perch. I think I have finally talked myself into one of those wake baits. What does it weigh and where do you recommend getting it from?
  20. All you do is spray it on. Is the line you are using freshly spooled. From what I hear Ultra Soft is pretty limp stuff. It can't help line memory if none has developed as of yet. All I know is I fish P-Line CXX and have had memory develop so bad that last year I would of just re-spooled. This year 4-6 squirts of Line and Lure and a little time to marinate does the trick. I have yet to re-spool a single reel this year. I need to re-spool my my main t-rig set-up pretty bad, but thats only b/c I'm running out of line. I just can't make myself do it b/c I want to see how long L&L can keep this stuff in good working order. I'm seriously starting to think a full season isn't unreasonable.
