What rod and reel did you catch your PB with?
St Croix Legend Tournament Series sweeper spinnerbait with a Shimano Cruxis. Interestingly, that is my least favorite cheapest reel and least favorite, by a mile, rod I own.

8-13 on a swimbait today!!!
Awesome fish. The pic really puts in perspective how "big" the bait is.

P-Line CXX mossy green?
P-Line CXX is awesome stuff in my opinion. The only downside is it does have a fair amount of memory, but this can be virtually eliminated with KVD line and lure conditioner. Even before discovering KVD I only used P-Line b/c of its unmatched abrasion resistance. I only use 15lb as well and have a tough time breaking off many of my hang ups. I don't know that I would throw the 20lb out, but I would probably buy 15lbs next time if I was you.

"The Americans? We're going to smash them"
The French were heavily favored though. That moment made me proud to be an american just watching the Freaking TV. That is why the olympics are great. I love how the announcers were saying the whole way that the Americans had to be way in the lead on the final leg to win the race. Then the final leg came and we were a 1/2 body length behind on the final turn. I know nothing about swimming, but I thought it was over by the previous announcer comments. It was great to watch the American run that guy down.

Will Loomis?
I've heard from a guy that is sponsored by them that they feel split, zero foregrip rods are a fad, and that their sales aren't hurting so they aren't going to pursue it.

Beating your friends with TWO PIGS
I say 4.5 and 2.5. Sorry its hard to tell by a picture. The glasses remind me of that Aussie guy that had the party this spring. Are you to famous for them.

new here-another "how big is this.." topic
Looks more like 3.5-4 to me. You need to get a scale though. Guessing by pictures is impossible. Nice fish.

my "consolation prize" was a 7 Lb'er
Nice fish.

What weight for big worms
^^^^^Agreed, but I know my limitations. More often than not if I have to stand there and wait 45 seconds for the bait to get to the bottom I'm not going to wait long enough. Something I need to work on for sure.

Very good choice to put her back right away if she was bleeding.

Fantasy Football
I think we all need to agree right now that if you say your going to play and then don't manage your team you will not be invited next year. If I remember right we had 3 or 4 that were absent from week 5 or 6 on last year.

What weight for big worms
I really think depth and wind have much more to do with it, and, like Catt said, the rate of fall you want. I almost always want as slow as possible. However, in 25' of water you have to use a fairly big weight to get it down there in less than 30 seconds. I would say my general rule is 10' or less = 1/8- 3/16, 10-15 equals a 3/16- 1/4 and 15+ = 3/8-7/16

letting senkos sit in the sun
I left 10, or so, trick sticks on the dash of my truck for a month or two. When I finally used them they tore like no other. Even when I would set the hook on a small fish or grass they would come back tore. Dang things were green pumpkin too.

Me + Friend = Big old bass
Wow.....really nice fish. Why the hurry to get her back. Did it take a long time to remove the hooks or take a pic?

Few topwater fish (new pic)

Gotta love getting a PVC tube in the Mail!
I do the same thing. I'm sure he just wanted them and trusts the brand. Worse case he uses them once hates them and sales them in the flea market. Using them only once your not going to take to bad of a bath on them.

Birthday coming up...which baitcaster?
Oh yeah, if you go Shimano I would get the Citica. I had one that I gave a friend when I bought the Curado's and I can tell very little difference if any between the two reels. The cost is a good 80-100 bucks more for the Curado.

Birthday coming up...which baitcaster?
Listen to the guys saying SX. I bought 3 new Curados at the start of this season b/c I found them for 150.00 and they were offering a 50.00 rebate. Bummer thing was that I was looking for Revo's but thought this deal to good to pass up. I just recently picked up two used SX's in the BR flea market forum. These reels are so heads and shoulders above the Curado's its embarassing. The Curado's aren't neccesarily bad, but they ain' t a Revo SX. I own a Revo S as well and the SX is more than worth the additional money to upgrade. At the same time even though the STX is probably a little better than the SX I don't know that its worth the extra money. Unless you just have it to donate to the baitmonkey of course. Also I should say that I've fished with a friends STX some, but do not own one.

Great looking reels, man. That reel seat is awesome. Glad to hear you got them from Simmons. I know you got a deal. Those guys are great.
