Thanks everyone. Five.bass that was something that was super important to me. In fact I had just about giving up on used and decided to go new when I stumbled onto this boat. All the used boats w/ a lot of warranty had owners that were very proud of them. As they should of been. Turns out this boat belonged to a guy that only crappie fished. The motor only has 27 hours on it. The crappie fisherman traded it for a center console kenner, 2 side imaging units and cash. I guess the dealer was really able to buy the boat right since he was having to give the guy cash. I was pretty shocked what I was able to get into it for.

I'm excited about it. Only two months.

Ok....seriously 1) Were you fishin on top of a lot of slop. If so the fish are only going on vibration and are just going to miss it a lot. 2) If you are sure your feeling the weight of the fish only two things can be wrong. 1) You are actually waiting to long and the fish is spitting the frog or 2) and much more likely there is to much give in your set up. Most likely solution is to only fish frogs on braid. Heavier rod would help to, but I would just go buy some braid. Plus, when you do start hooking them up it will cut through the trash.

I find that using Shimao reels help ;D.

Flech, That is awesome. I think i've only been that way once. I was fishing right next to a buddy and caught like 17 bass to his 1. Kept asking if he wanted a beaver, but he was to proud to take one. BTW, I was out on Belton Friday. Belton is your backyard right? I'll be back Tuesday evening.

Thanks everyone for the help and support. Finally bought a boat. '06 Bass Cat Puma w/ a 225 Merc Pro XS optimax. Lucked out and found one with a little more than 3 years warranty years warranty on it.

Your story sounds fishy to me. Why would it be ok for your friends dad to have a firearm in the vehicle, but I crime for you to have one.

Don't worry about it. Good people will always get taken care of. I'm sure you have plenty of people to help you and lean on, but I'm close if you ever need to call someone to vent or have a beer with. You'll have to come to Fort Worth though I hate Dallas .

^^^^Are you being serious. LBH and I are not best friends and we've probably exchanged pm's two times and never talked in posts. However, I've always thought his involvement in CAST and willingness to help anyone on here made him a great dude. As far as I know him and Muddy are good friends. I find it hard to believe he is sitting around waiting for Glenn to give him permission to talk to Muddy. I don't butt kiss this site and will be the first to say that I think it has it problems just like all other sites do. Having said this if anything Muddy owes the mods an apology. Long Mike, please forgive me if I missed some sarcasm in the post but I read it several times and couldn't pick up on it. To me you were just trying to stir the pot, and looking at the situation from only one side. Why is what the mods are doing any of your business. Strike King has always been my absolute favorite "big brand" bait company. I love their spinnerbaits especially the Lil' Mr. Money spinnerbait. The first frog I really caught a lot of fish on was the Rage Tail. Plus, I was catching them on the Rage Tail before anyone else had anything resembling a top water bite this year. I can't wait to see the anaconda.

I say they are bluffing. If Brett plays it s with Green Bay. Green Bay might not want it since they've apparently moved on, but they know Brett is the face of the franchise.

I'm positive I"m ready to buy. I'm a lot more upbeat about it now. I get frustrated every now and then with the non-stop research. I just don't know how much room is in new boat pricing. I don't go in and pay full price for a truck, but I don't go in and offer 10 grand for a 30,000 truck either. For all I know boats are priced almost at rock bottom or have 50% mark-up. I think the NADA and add 5% is a good place to start, but the options confuse me. I don't see options for many things and don't know what others are. I'm really just wondering how much mark-up is probably in the price so I can make a realistic offer w/out paying 5,000 more than the dealer would of took. I don't want to be so high that they take my first offer or so low that they are insulted and won't bargain at all. Or figure out that I'm not that knowlegable about the process. I appreciate everyones help so far. Matt

bassmasta7, did the league last year and the year before. Last year I can't remember everyone but I know KU, Bassboy, brokeju, westpalm and jeremy2 played.

I honestly can't remember who strated it. For all I know they might not even be around anymore. I'll research it for a little while and let you know. If you have people signing up there is no reason you can't start a league.
