  1. I love the Zero. I'm one of the few people that couldn't get the hang of the senko. I would hear the just add water comments and be like what the hell i'm horrible. Continued to stick with the stick baits though b/c I didn't want to be the only moron. Then finally one day caught five in a little under an hour at the toughest lake I fish. First time using the Zero. I like them b/c they are soft like the GYCB's and have heard they have more salt. Personally, I think don't think the Tiki Sticks are soft enough. I can't speak for the *** that are so popular on here b/c i've never used them. I'm sure, however, that if I went back to the senko now I would do just fine. I wasn't fishing them slow enough and was lifting my rod to much straight up. I started having more sucess when I sweeped and twitched the bait.
  2. I only kiss fat women and fat fish.
  3. Exactly what Fish Chris said. Several states have regulations that you must release any fish caught during a certain time, and several don't. All for a reason.
  4. I decided to join here b/c they kicked me out of the grammar resource forums. Thanks for all the welcoming repies Ya'll.
  5. Thanks Muddy. Actually my best guess was a cane pole breaking, but not between to saw horses. In fact i've never heard of a saw horse. Can you race them?
  6. I've been wondering about this a while now. On the home page the quote mentions a canebreak. What is this i'm not familiar with the term.
  7. Just wanted to say hi to everyone, and tell ya'll how excited i'm to be a part of this fourm. I have been a lurker on here for a little over a year, and have learned so much. You guys have put together one terrific sight. I sincerely regret not becoming a member sooner b/c I feel like I know all of you and have learned a lot from so many on here. Anyways, figured I better get signed up now so I can make the Fork trip next year. I'm a non-boater who has been seriously addicted to bass fishing for the last year. I go every chance I get. At least twice a week and usually more. I have a pond to fish in my neighborhood. My PB so far is 6 1/2 lbs. Not from the neighborhood pond though. Just wanted ya'll to have a little background information. On a lighter note I have a friend that lives in corpus. A year ago when my wife and I built our house in the new neighborhood I decided to go fishing with the spinning reel I had won from a Ducks Unlimited banquet. I had to call my friend to ask him how to tie line on the spinng reel. I had never used one as a kid just the old cane poles and Zebco 33's. He came and visited last month and I took him fishing all over. He thought it was hilarious that a little over a year ago I was calling him on how to tie line to the spinning reel and now I was talking about rising pressure, why certain baits work, color selection and anything else I had learned on here. He was very glad I had met you guys and not a crack addict. Anyways thanks for everything so far and I promise future posts will be shorter. Matt
