Seek and ye shall find. I tend to pay attention to what the pros use. Sure they are sponsored but they can choose their sponsors. None of the top 5 finishers at the Classic this year used Shimano. Skeet used Abu, Ike used Daiwa, Snowden and Evers used BPS and McClelland used Quantum. Maybe Shimano doesn't offer sponsorships but if it was me and there was that much money on the line, I'd use my preferred reel, sponsorship or not. Well I had a bass that got off which felt like a 5 pounder this year. It got off because some how it got wrapped on a log and bent my hook at the starting of the fight. During the end of the fight it got off near shore. I didn't get mad at all I just retied a new hook and got back to fishing.

I switch between a tackle box and backpack. I find that the backpack is easier to carry things.

I have many hooks that are bent due to snags. Could I bend them back in place and use them again? Or should I just send them to the trash. They are gamy's if that helps. :

Which reel do you think is a better bang for the buck? As in smoothness, cast distance, and weight?

On my pflueger trion I have line jammed under my reel handle. So i can't use drag. Or reel in smoothly. How can I get the line out from under it?

They are great baits ,but if you buy one you are going to need an extreme net man.

I don't see what all of this talk about rage tail is. I find them to be average. I'm not saying they are bad ,but I am saying you guys over-advertise them. I find GYCB, powerbait, zoom, and culprit to be better. And I would say your bass is around 3-4 pounds.

Get a GYCB Senko 5". Use a 4'0 EWG Gamakatsu hook.
