  1. x2 x3 x6 x7... IMO Quantums are heavy paper weights... Citca KVD must not have a clue. Check this out. $20.00 rebate to boot! http://www.***.com/descpageRLCABUGAR-AGRSTX.html BPS Pro Qualifier is $99.00 and frequently goes on sale. (See Evers Below) No question Shimanos are great reels but they aren't the only ones. I got 2 Accurist PT's on sale at BPS earlier this year ($47.00) and they are among my favorites. Seek and ye shall find. I tend to pay attention to what the pros use. Sure they are sponsored but they can choose their sponsors. None of the top 5 finishers at the Classic this year used Shimano. Skeet used Abu, Ike used Daiwa, Snowden and Evers used BPS and McClelland used Quantum. Maybe Shimano doesn't offer sponsorships but if it was me and there was that much money on the line, I'd use my preferred reel, sponsorship or not. JMHO wow what an avatar. lol but yea my pro qualifier was 99.99. and i love it. i bought the combo with the pro qualifier rod for 189.99 so no sale on reel but on combo 50 dollar saving for the rod goes for 139.99 alone. You got hosed. I was at the big store today and they had the new pro qualifier reel in black with metal flake on rods from 6'6 to 7'0 for $99.99. you sure you seen the right reel. cause mine is an all silver reel. Yes. It was the new low profile pro qualifier reel with a black metal flake paint scheme on a house rod for $100. x8
  2. Well I had a bass that got off which felt like a 5 pounder this year. It got off because some how it got wrapped on a log and bent my hook at the starting of the fight. During the end of the fight it got off near shore. I didn't get mad at all I just retied a new hook and got back to fishing.
  3. I switch between a tackle box and backpack. I find that the backpack is easier to carry things.
  4. Isn't spin casting like a zebco 33? I would say a shimano sahara and st croix triumph would be good for this purpose. Just my 0.2 cents
  5. Mitchelle 308xge paired with a bass pro, cabelas, or gander mountain rod. Or you could always try ebay. :-X A pflueger trion and a st croix triumph is a good combo too.

My fat ikas last like 3-5 fish after one end gets tore up just switch sides the fish don't seem to mind. :
  7. I accidently bought this super bright line so I would like to make a leader that is clear. What knot should I use? Or should I use a swivel?
  8. It's really hard to believe that guys claim to catch like 10 pounders every 2-3 weeks. :-X
  9. Hmmmmmmmmmmm in a past life????
  10. How do you pull the hook out if the hook is a treble hook and is connected to the lure?
  11. Soft Baits: GYCB, Zoom, Culprit, Yum, Berkley Powerbait, and Rage Tail Hard Baits: Rapala, Bomber, Zara Spooks, Rebel, and Strike King Spinnerbaits/Buzzbaits: Booyah, Stike King, and Terminator Jigs: Booyah, and Strike King Hooks: Gamies, Owners, VMC's Rods: Gander Mountain Reels: Pflueger, Mitchelle
  12. Wisconsin, Minnasota, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio. I have fished in the U.S.A. and Canada.
  13. Are G-loomis IMX and Shimano Core available at most Cabelas stores?
  14. I have many hooks that are bent due to snags. Could I bend them back in place and use them again? Or should I just send them to the trash. They are gamy's if that helps. :
  15. Does the 7:1 have an an advantage over a 6:3 gear ratio for worm fishing purposes? Or could it be vice-versa?
  16. Well last year when I went to a walleye charter the captain had a pee bottle. He asked everyone else if they wanted to use it I took the pass.
  17. Which reel do you think is a better bang for the buck? As in smoothness, cast distance, and weight?
  18. On my pflueger trion I have line jammed under my reel handle. So i can't use drag. Or reel in smoothly. How can I get the line out from under it?
  19. They are great baits ,but if you buy one you are going to need an extreme net man.
  20. I tried this last year. It has a burned smell after. Do you lube them with scent afterwards?
  21. I don't see what all of this talk about rage tail is. I find them to be average. I'm not saying they are bad ,but I am saying you guys over-advertise them. I find GYCB, powerbait, zoom, and culprit to be better. And I would say your bass is around 3-4 pounds.
  22. Get a GYCB Senko 5". Use a 4'0 EWG Gamakatsu hook.
