Poisoning Pike??
I saw something in the news a couple years ago where a cal. town did the same thing. Killing off 20 to 50 poumd pike because they were depleting the trout population. Bottom line,,,if they had any common since, the town would have realised that people from the mid-west would have "vacationed" for one or two weeks there for the experience of catchin those pike. Bottom line... idiots don't see the financial advantiges of offering a chance of following a dream that increased local inome.

How did I miss all these fish?
Use a #8 hook in the tail of you grub. If they short bite, they'll get hooked on the small hook and wont feel it when they bite.

I see two draw backs to fishin alone. :'( No one to share the memories of the trip with and no one to Get The Net. Started taking pictures which helped the first problem. Got a folding net that opens with one hand to solve the second problem. Picture of a friend using my net.

MrTwister was great "in the day". but the sented grubbs work much better.- Interested in other's opinions here.....`
The troll and gun tactic is used at times on areas you don't know and allows you to find productive spots. Then return to those spots to "really fish them". sounds like the boater forgot the second half. ;D- Problem analysis
My Dad taught me that when you see them start to the surface to jump, put the pole in the water. It shortens up free line between the fish and the water and keeps them from shaking loose.- Bailing out
Not on purpose....leaned out to retrieve the broken line as my partner was leaning over to see what I was doing.....speed boat wake hit and we both ended up in the drink. :-[ - Catch & release or keep?
