  1. i like using them around rocks, the wider head helps to not get stuck between rocks and in cracks vs a pointed or round head.
  2. I save all my old and worn tube baits and cut them up. slide the senko into it and theres my saving grace.
  3. It was already mentioned. But I would use a t rig worm, probably 3/8 ounce or so to punch through the pads.
  4. that or a gallon or so of roll on bed liner would work.
  5. you can cut a ring out of the tubes to use when wacky rigging a senko too.
  6. haha that jig head looks like the "grave digger" head that cabelas started selling ohh say....15 years ago. PS, will it wobble like a crankbait??

    sweet looking paint!!
  8. Ask another man for help??
  9. last summer i took a challenge from my brother. to fish with a light weight spinning rod and 6 pound test. Even in pads fishing a 3/8 t rigged worm i was able to work most fish out. Catching a 2 or 3 pounder on that rod is amazingly fun. TRY IT I DARE YOU.
  10. the swivel is so you dont need to peg the weight. sometimes fish will feel the weight and drop it. but with the swivel the line is left free. it also gives you the possibility of using a leader, usually floro.
  11. First thing to do is find out what forage there is. Second what cover there is. Third thing... you should be setting the hook on something.
  12. I can see your predicament. My 2 cents though... at what point does the mass of the new reservoir absorb any current that may be flowing in from creeks.
  13. Heres one for ya, How about a yellow or mustard color belly. With a olive to dark green back coming down the sides in a grid pattern, big black dot on the gill area.
  14. I use a razor blade and scratch it into the lip.
  15. Flying fish are fun!! At best all you can do is keep the line as tight as possible
  16. that is cool. i started making my own quiver too, but havent found something to fit the idea of how to clip my poles to some pipe.
  17. In MY opinion you should at the very least remove the carp. The carp are probably sucking on any nests that are made in the spawn.
  18. i would use a 3-6 foot diving crank or rat trap.
  19. 1/4 to 1/2 ounce. It is really going to depend on the worm, and what the rattle or bead would weigh. Do you plan on using some kind of sinker? From there its going to depend on what you want for a presentation, IE punching a worm through grass or keeping a fluke a foot or so deep.
  20. how shallow is what you call shallow?
  21. all that over some dumb fish. SAD
  22. RIGHT, jewelry for your bait box and The other *cough*wife*monkey* ;D will want more jewlery for herself
  23. The line getting tangled is probably due to one of or a combination of either.... Old line, you could try replacing it. The spinner being too light, you could try a heavier one. The spinner could be twisting the line, put a swivel infront of it. See if that helps. Even being a lower end shakespeare you can still catch fish.
