  1. For my spinning set up i like to fill the spool a little less than half with 10 lb mono for backing. Then i'll fill it up the rest of the way with 30lb braid. and for my leader i use 15lb floro about 4-5ft long hope this helps.
  2. Oh man thank-you so much for telling me when they are actually coming out. I cant wait to get one I just might have to reserve one at cabelas i did see them on their website. I think it will make fishing out of my 9ft pond prowler much more enjoyable. i will actually be able to cover water instead of having to anchor down to fish a spot.
  3. I use 8# on spinning and 12# 0n baitcast of the regular hybrid and they are both awesome.
  4. just curious if anyone has has had any experience with one yet. They look awesome i think i will have to get one but before i do i was just looking for some feedback on it. I know it just came out so many people may not have it yet.
  5. I have the 45 pound thrust for my 9 ft pond prowler and it does great. I have had it for 2 years now and no problems with it at all.
  6. I have a 9 ft pond prowler also with a 45# thrust tm i love that thing better than standing on the bank.
  7. thanx rw i will keep an eye on that site.
  8. i am going to tablerock the last weekend in march and i have never been there for the first club tourney of the year. I am going as a non-boater anyone have any suggestions on what to take.
  9. It depends on how big of a lake you guys are looking to fish. If you are looking for resevoir type lakes okoboji or red rock lakes would be good. If you are looking for a little smaller i would go for lake anita, 3 mile lake or 12 mile lake you can always check out the iowa dnr website has info on most of the lakes in iowa and it is brokedown by region the site so there easy to find hope this helps.
  10. Ijust bought a lighting rod 7ft. mh for jigs and i love it can't beat it for the money really lite and sensitive.
  11. There are alot of places to fish from the bank on the missouri river. Or he could go te desoto bend lake and carter lake. Sorry i know thats not very many but i live in council bluffs, ia just right across the river. so i don't fish nebraska very much all these places you can fish with either a nebraska or iowa fishing license.
  12. A friend of mine just got one and he said it is awesome.
  13. I got my pond prowler last season and had the tm on the front all last year. This season I switched it to the back and like it much better. But it's all personal preference.
  14. Hey congrats on the boat. I also have the 9 ft pond prowler and a 8 ft trailer at first i was terrible at backing up. But just practice and it will come just go really slow and make small turns with your steering wheel. that seemed to help me alot. also what else helped me was putting my tailgate down while i'm backing the boat in that made a huge difference in being able to see where the boat was and how strait i was backing. good luck to ya this season enjoy!!!
