  1. I live in south louisiana and i have been on outings and on one cast I caught a bass then on the very next one caught a big red fish. Its not unusual for that to happen around here and acctually there are a few areas that i know where i can go fishing for one and if that fish isnt biting, switch lures and catch the other. T-Bone
  2. It is the same idea as a beetle spin and therefore basically the same thing but beetle spins are much smaller than a spinnerbait. It does catch bass, I have tried and it works! T-Bone
  3. Sounds to me like you found your own personal honey hole. Hope you continue to have such great luck. T-Bone
  4. Gravel would probably work. Maybe try try laying down a foundation of river sand first. T-Bone
  5. GPS is a must. Where I live I would much rather have that than a depth finder, it is too easy to get lost. Other than that rain gear and a spare bilge pump. T-Bone
  6. Zoom Super Fluke or a frog depends where im at. T-Bone
  7. These baits look really awesome. Even if I am not in the top 75 I think i will buy some anyway. T-Bone
  8. I like direct tie. T-Bone
  9. CHATTERBAITS!!! Never even caught a fish on one and trust me I tried. T-Bone
  10. NICE!!! Geaux Saints! I like it considering I am a big saints fan. T-Bone
  11. I have been fishing at this new pond i found and everytime that I go out there, no matter what time of day, there always seems to be fish chasing baitfish and hitting the top of the water. I cannot determine whether or not these are bass. I have caught several small bass out of the pond but what ever is hitting the top of the water and chasing the baitfish is definently bigger than anything that I have caught. I would try casting to where they are doing this but it is never within reach of a cast or its on the one side of the pond that i can not get to. I have thought that it might be gar but i have never even seen a gar in there. Any idea what this might be? Thanks, T-Bone
  12. I shore fish alot and this happens all the time. I have figured out my own solution to the problem though, I just go where no one else wants to go. I walk to the areas that there is too many trees and bushes on the bank to even attempt to cast and I just wade out to about knee deep or right beyond all the obstructions on the shore and fish from there. I'm not afraid to get my feet wet and all the people can do is sit there and stare as I catch all the fish. ;D You can't fix stupid, but you can work around it. T-Bone
  13. Of course you can. I will sometimes throw them weightless onto lily pads and in thick grass. The big bass love them. T-Bone

I fish with worms alot so naturally i was paying attention to the line on the fall. But since i was throwing it in heavy cover (which i dont normally do) it throwing me off a little. Next time though i will pay a little closer attention. Thanks, T-Bone

Unfortunantly the trip has been called off due to my friend having work related issues. I went fishing this morning though and i tried using only jigs. I did not catch anything but i did have a few hits, but didn't realize that they were hits till it was too late and missed the small window to set the hook. So I think that i will try it again the next time i go out. ;D Thanks for the help. T-Bone
  16. The only real difference that i noticed when ever i used one was the quality. After 3 fish it was pretty much useless. Personally i would spend the extra bucks on a booyah or a strike king so that i could use it over and over. But thats just me. T-Bone
  17. A friend of mine had someone who does spray in bedliners for trucks spray the inside of his jon after he built his deck. It made for excellent footing. The coloring was nice too, the standard olive green color on the outside and tan on the inside, it looks sweet! T-Bone
  18. I have converted an old 85hp into a 115hp and all I had to do was put a bigger carburetor on it (or basically make the engine suck up more fuel). I would imagine that it be the same for converting a 9.9 into a 15. T-Bone

I was recently invited by a friend to take a trip up to toledo bend with him to practice for a tournament he is competing in. He e-mailed me a list of baits that i should bring and one of them was jigs. I have used jigs before but i have never even caught a bass on a jig and i only own one. I e-mailed him back but it has been almost 3 days and i have not heard from him. We leave in a 4 days and and i want to be prepared for the trip. I was just wondering what would be the best brand of jig to get. Thanks, T-Bone
  20. I bank fish and i usually get out there at about 6am. But if i can manage to go with one of my friends who have a boat then we are usually out there about 430am. T-Bone
  21. Thanks for the help. I will give it a shot and hope it works. T-Bone
  22. I would buy new ones but i dont think they make them in these colors anymore T-Bone
  23. It takes practice just like every other bait. And usually if the line goes from slack to tight, without you doing anything, then usually that means that something has it and you should set the hook. I say give it another shot. T-Bone
  24. Recently i was going through an old tackle box and i came across a few heddon torpedos that have mildew and other stains on them. I was wondering if there was anyway to to remove the stains without removing the paint or damaging the color schemes. I have to take pics but could not get that show the stains very well. Thanks, T-Bone
  25. Buzzbait w/ gold blade Pop-R Super Spook Devil's Horse Snag Proof frog Buzzfrog I like them all but it depends on where I'm fishing and what the fish are feeding on. T-Bone
