  1. w00t! Pantera! ;D
  2. yeah it totally sucks when a finish is ruined. i got lucky that a few extra coats made this one pretty salvagable. i have no idea what model this crank is, i found it in a bag of mixed cranks that someone sent me. i'm not up to speed on my Mann's crankbait models
  3. no, yours. yup, already did. decided to give up on the reference photos and just painted it the way i thought it should look. turned out alright.
  4. if anyone has any clear, side-profile pictures of small bluegills, could you please post them? i need them for painting reference. thanks
  5. i remember seeing these. nice baits
  6. his baits look great.
  7. do what the pond dictates.
  8. is flex coat 1 or 2 parts?
  9. nope, but that looks like it would be great on fishing lures too!
  10. i was eager to use my new finish so i repainted this old crank. i dropped the bait on the towel right after the first coat of clear after 3 more coats the finish turned out alright. could be better. there are some specks of debris on top of the head but oh well...
  11. LOL GUYS!!!! it is a water-borne polyurethane
  12. LOVE THIS SONG!!!

i switched to a new finish from epoxy (hallelujah, i HATE epoxy with a PASSION). i didn't make this bait, or even repaint it, its just a rapala taildancer in hot chub, but i did put 3 coats of my new finish on it and AIN'T SHE SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH!!!!
  15. cast for a cause is nice because its not limited to cancer, gives you the option to expand. cast for a cure is also good if you're going to stick with cancer benefits.
  16. don't seal the hole or air won't be able to escape and the bait won't compress when a bass bites.
  17. if the popper is small enough then go ahead and use head cement. it will work but its not very practical as you're covering a lot of area with head cement, and you'll use a lot of head cement, and its not very cheap. try using polyurethane to seal baits.
  18. yeah after i clicked that amazon link, i wiki'd hank III, and saw that he was in anselmo's project after pantera. i didn't know of that band at all, and i gave them a listen, like it a lot
  19. sounds not too bad. reminds me of marilyn manson's sound....
  20. dremel's work great too!
  21. this thread's gonna go far :
  22. what do you mean how? you already know the forage base so just find (or make) lures to match it......
  23. i don't understand posts like this... whats done is done...its not like it makes any difference now........ :-?
  24. its probably better that you're making the bait with grain running head to tail. if you made the bait with cross grain, it would be more prone to snapping in half.
