I've done very well with the GYCB Kreature. If conditions allow I fish it weightless or with as little weight as possible.

I wish the yo-zuri was offered in more colors.

I use 1/4 ounce as well unless there is a lot current. Whether or not I fish directly below the boat is based on water clarity. Unless the water is very clear you should have no problem.

that stretch is the roughest area i have fished on the river. I cracked my transom there! Having said that there is a HUGE difference between weekdays and weekends. In my opinion...weekends NO and weekdays MAYBE depending on weather and other boat traffic.

I think it runs much better w/ a 4/0 ewg.

i have used that exact set up for everything from frogs to punching mats (1.5 ounce). its definitely strong enough.
