  5. the bite at mt vernon is hot right now. lots of fish to be had.
  6. best jigs I have ever used. Great price point too.
  7. I'm heading out this afternoon. Where are you guys gonna be fishing? I'll most likely be in the Mt. Vernon area.
  8. That was not my point. The point is to make it as simple and effective as possible.
  9. I really wish we could go back to posting reports in the regional section. I'm all for trying new things but this really makes it more difficult to find the information I'm looking for. There are so many posts in the outing section now. Most are not labeled by region in the subject line therefore forcing you to read each post. Just my thoughts...
  10. Potomac! nothing else even comes close.
  11. there is a sign at pohick explaining the process...I think.
  12. I fish the Potomac regularly. Send me a PM if you wanna go sometime.
  13. Yea, I was out. I think I was the only boat out there. How did you do?
  14. I agree. I think the package actually says hybrids. They have a very different feel. A great deal though at .99!
  15. Hello all. I'm looking for advice on fishing high tide in tidal rivers. I do very well during low tide but truly struggle finding fish during high tide. I posed this question a while back and only received two replies (thanks Dan). Looking for as much info as I can on the subject. Thanks.
  16. I went back into little hunting run the other night for the first time. That's a really cool looking spot. Any tips for that area??? I'm pretty sure that is your neck of the woods...
  17. nope, not yet. I've been crushing the bass though. summer pattern still working!
  18. i was waiting for you to comment...knew it was coming.
  19. doesnt look like a spro to me...
  20. My favorite bait!!! 4/0 is the way to go. The only time I've had trouble with this bait is when I had an older pack without the plastic insert keeping each bait straight in the package.
  21. Hello all. I was reading another post and noticed a recommendation for Vertglas. Anyone use it? Reviews? Recommendations? Thanks.
  22. takes some practice. I would use either a 4/0, 5/0 EWG or a frog type hook with a screw lock. The most important part is waiting a minimum of 2 seconds before setting the hook. I usually like to wait until I feel the weight of the fish on my line.
  23. problem with that is you now have to sort through reports from every state instead of just your region.
  24. i have a 93' 150 hp faststrike. top speed with two ppl is 54 mph. Average speed around 50 mph. Great looking boat man.
