  1. I do very well with the dipper. I use a 1/8 ounch screw lock owner hook. It can be fished anywhere. Very weedless.
  2. Hello all. I am having a difficult time finding fish during high tide times (Potomac River). I do very well at low tide fishing grass and wood. When high tide arrives I struggle to locate fish. Any tips or tactics??? Thanks.
  3. Thanks man. A chainsaw is a must! We tried to remove the wood without it with no luck. The chainsaw worked beautifully. It also does a great job getting the skins clean.
  4. I love my ranger! I do not know too much about that model though. Good luck!
  5. I finally finished my transome replacement on my 370v using Seacast. What a relief...It took a couple of weeks just because of other things going on. A very doable repair just time consuming. I am very impressed with the product thus far. I will post some pictures later tonight of the process. [imghttp://ajbrowning.zenfolio.com/img/v3/p511765490-3.jpg]
  6. my favorite bait this year as well. You have to remember with any top water bait that bass will just plain miss the bait. There was a post about this a few weeks ago. I believe the post thought bass miss around 1/3 of the time. I have experimented with hook sizes and I think 4/0 is best. Depending on the water you are fishing braid may be an excellent option. In terms of hooks sets...I like to wait until I feel the weight of the fish! It sounds simple yet can be very tough with the insane blow ups this bait causes. Good luck.
  7. wow. please post more info when you find it.
  8. very confused..."is there a rule"...if it works use it!
  9. I would guess a jig would be most peoples answer...hard to beat for this application in my opinion.
  10. I agree with you 100%. I rarely use them any more. When I take my brother fishing (does not fish very often) I always give him a senko and he catches more fish than I at least 90% of the time. At the end of the day I always ask why I do not use them more...I feel like there is almost a stigma attached to them...ex: a pro doesn't use them...who knows.
  11. so an 8/0 is the only answer???
  12. LC's are the best!!!
  13. so what application on you guys using the anaconda's for??? just carolina rigs?
  14. Flukes, senkos, keel weighted skinny beavers to name a few that i use.
  15. a lot of items seem to be regional based.
  16. thanks for the link. I should have searched. I got lazy. Being that I am on this site all the time I do not know how I missed this...Thanks again.
  17. for your needs i vote stx not to mention that price!
  18. Hello all. I am trying to learn how to punch through dense mats. I have tried pegging 1/2 -1 ounce weights with beavers and craws with no luck. I have not dedicated nearly enough time to this technique. Any advice or tips? Do you start on the edges of mats or go directly into the center? Another concern I have is with the heavy weight that the bait is falling to fast. Any tips or presentation? I was thinking of trying the anacondas for this technique. Thoughts on that bait or others? Thanks.
  19. I am having a tough time rigging the SK Shadalicious. I have weighted hooks from 4/0 to 7/0 and can not find one that works well. Any tips? Thanks.
  20. my concern would be frog fishing with a M. When I throw frogs it's usually over grass or some sort of slop. The backbone of the MH is perfect for that application. I wouldn't trade mine for anything. With that being said I have never felt the MH was to heavy for weightless plastics either. Just my opinion.
