  1. The only option we have around here is the RBC center in Raleigh where the Hurricanes play, last time I went it was like $8.50 for a beer that I swear is less than 12oz. You are right, if you want to enjoy a day at the park/stadium/center you are going to pay over $100.
  2. I'd eat it if I were a bass.
  3. I was in Cpl's course at Camp Geiger, when the first plane hit the instructors brought in a tv and we watched. The secured us at 1300 to go back to our units and it took me 5 and a half hours to drive from Camp Geiger to Camp Lejeune ( 10 miles ). Got back to the barracks and we were all packing up ready to go.
  4. I noticed that earlier the draft was for 630 et, now there is no draft time. I am asking because I have my fishing club meeting tonight at 8 . I will not be here from 745 et to about 9 and can't get in to set auto draft. Thanks
  5. Sorry, not a Cowboys fan here but I don't think it's gonna be a blowout.
  6. http://www.nfl.com/goto?id=0ap1000000058565 The cops are watching! If the whitest of white boys is affiliated we all need to watch out!
  7. Not trying to butt in for raider, but it's espn and no fees.
  8. Are you setting the draft?
  9. I would like to join if there is still room, let me know.
  10. Glenn, You are probably absolutely right as I have no personal experience with either. I was just going off of information from a friend who may have been misinformed. I was in no way trying to bash or say in anyway that talon was a superior product to a power pole. I am actually in the market myself and have yet to decide on what I want but was actually leaning towards a Talon due to my friends dealings with the instailation. I will continue to research and see what best suits me.
  11. My buddy just installed a talon on his boat, I'm not saying this to start a pp vs. talon war. The talon was just an easier fit for his boat and less costly. He paid around 1500 for the talon and the mount. The mount is the hardest thing to get. He couldn't get one for his port side (which is what they recommend) ,but he was installed and working in less than 30 min. I am thinking of going with the talon just to keep from having to install pp, pump, hydraulic fluids, bleed lines, wiring. Well I am sure you get the rest. Either way you decide, good luck and please post pics.
  12. I'm pretty good at drinking beer!
  13. My handle is robjeremy I am currently playing NCAA 13 an tw 13.
  14. Yes, I do spank my children, when they deserve it and never out of anger. It works for them.
  15. I have recently gotten more confident in fishing deep cranks ( 8-14ft) what is the best rod for this technique. I am not looking in terms of brand, but length and action. I was thinking 7'2 in a medium action, but wanted opinions. Thanks
  16. I just wanted to take the time to thank the BR family on my recent gain in knowlegde. The two best things I have done in regards is one, register on this site and two, join a local club. My progression has been pretty slow for what I expected. I thought I would come here, read and learn and be ok. I guess that I am a kinesthetic learner and needed hands on to really move forward. Well this past weekend first and second were won out of my boat and its really starting to make sense. Saturday started off calm and in the 50's so me and the other angler from my club were both throwing top water. When bait started busting the surface off in deeper water I decided to change it up and get under them by throwing a crank. Not long after I hook up with what I thought was a striper, wrong I was and the first fish in the boat was a 5.23 large mouth. The next few hours were really slow and the air temp rose to the mid 80's with the water going from 77 to 81 and the wind picked up. We fished around for an hour without a bite and then I hung another fish. 4.23 off a wind blown point and then it clicked, the first fish I caught was off a wind blown point. We spent the rest of the day running wind blown points sitting in 12-14 ft of water throwing cranks up into 6-8 ft. I finished with a respectefull 18 pound and my partner 16. It was great. Not so much for winning but for being able to figure the fish out. I feel like I may have just opened another box/page in my fishing and am totally excited about it and wanted to share.
  17. That sucks J, any time frame on having her back? I hope it's not too much of a hassle with insurance.
  18. I bought a Lowrance mark 4 for my console, I installed it and put in the navionics chip.( premium). In the settings I changed the mapping to navionics and I am getting an error message at start up. Clear the message out and am getting no readings from the card. Any help would be appreciated.
  19. I am wanting to cut a hole in my rod locker and remove the rod tubes so I can have more rod storage, something similar to what a glass boat would have. Has anyone done this on their trackers? I am wondering 2 things. If I cut out a spot on the wall am I removing structural stability to the deck and two is there foam in there that aids in buoyancy. Basically it's a would be nice to have, but I don't want to screw anything up on the boat. Thanks for reading.
  20. For what you got, I don't think that's a bad deal. Did you get any kind of warranty / guarantee on the motor? Either way if you are happy about it that's all that matters.
  21. That looks great man, you defininetly have the touch. Just be careful, a lot of the guys I have talked to that do their own mods say it's habit forming. Lol
  22. Raider, I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. Be glad that you had the relationship that you did and always remember the good times! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
