I'm giving the okie division a shot this year. Best way to find out how many people fish em is to look at the results from the past couple years; that'll usually give you an idea. Also, if you're planning on being a co-angler then try to find a guaranteed boater to sign up with asap. I hear horror stories of guys getting there to the draw and there not being enough boaters for all the co-anglers. It looks like alot of fun, but it's not particularly cheap. I'm guesstimating by the time I get back from Grand in a few weeks, I'll be approx. $250-$300 deep (assuming I don't pay for any lodging). Keep us posted! 8-)

My first tournament is in 3 1/2 weeks and it's a BFL tourney. After surveying the situation I would have been more fiscally responsible to try some club circuits first, but maybe I'll have a good story like CJ's by the time I'm done 8-) Hopefully. ;D

I just got the BPS 5pc suspending jerkbait kit today in the mail, they look nice, all around good colors. Haven't had a chance to take em out and see what the action is like yet though. I'll keep ya posted. $15.99 for 5 jerkbaits, seems like a good deal to me but you know how that goes.

The 10-day forecast down here looks pretty good. Temps are gonna be in the 40s-50s so I feel pretty confident the ice is gonna melt off. What's everyone else thinking?

Despite the fact I'm moving back home after this semester, I can honestly say moving a few hours from home into the dorms was the best decision I ever made. Here's a few pics of our shenanigans: Similar to a trick LBH mentioned cept we wanted to do it to two kids that lived next to eachother. Same effect achieved ;D They had our bathroom closed over the course of about a week, one night someone was sloshed and decided to use the bathroom anyway. The next morning housekeeping did this. ;D We took the RA sign off of our RA's door and swapped it with the "Men Only" sign on the bathroom door. ;D Took him several days before he noticed. Shaving cream pie. I hid in the shower til my roommate jumped out and launched it at him. Water balloon launcher, self-explanatory Matress jousting. 2 guys. 2 matresses. An all out running battle to see who can knock who down. 8-) Usual photoshop shenanigans taped to the door. Haha, my roommates a princess. It's a blast!!

Yeah let's try to get a headcount so we know how much food to bring 8-)

Yeah, it's worth a look. For that price I'd bet it has or needs a few fiberglass patches. :-/ Good deals are out there though! You'll never know if you don't give it a lookin'! 8-)

I haven't had a chance to make it out and see the conditions at bone. I went strip pit hoppin yesterday and pretty much every body of water has ice covering a majority of it (out of 8 spots we checked out, only 2 were fishable). I'll try to make it to bone by next weekend to see what's in store. 8-)

I cleaned my dad's tackle box out to start forming my own ;D He never fished species specific so he pretty much just had hooks and sinkers. I do remember he had one popr that was all banged up. Still to this day my dad says "You believe all that crap about different lures? If a fish is hungry, he's gonna eat whatever you dangle in front of him!"

I usually look at the conditions and go from there. About the only "go-to bait" I have would be a 5" senko t-rigged, usually watermelon seed.

I'll never forget the first time I saw someone bowfishing. When I first got to college, I went to scope out the strip pits. I walked down to the edge and kind of investigated the situation, saw what I wanted to see and started to walk back up to my car when this ol boy pulled up in his pickup and got out with his bow and goes "YOU SEE ANY CARP DOWN THURR?" "uhhh, no, sure didn't", when all of the sudden he shouts "THURS ONE!!!" and runs down to the bank and fires a shot into the water. Ever since then I've wanted to buy a bow and try it. That just looks fun as heck. 8-) Don't know about other states, but KS regulates you can only shoot non-sportfish (carp, drum, gar, etc.) and I think there's some waters they post you can't do it in.
