  1. Well I can find you some good Kansas strippers but... oh... ;D
  2. I always get a good deal on ebay... :-/
  3. Because some of us will fish all day and never get the chance to cull! ;D I'm very new to tournament fishing (and even relatively new to bass fishing) but I don't think I've ever caught my limit in a day.
  4. I'm not for or against red hooks and red line. If they're there I'll use em, if not then I don't fret.
  5. I've only fished one tourney, but I really got matched with a good boater, so maybe my opinion means nothing but here's how I think I'll approach every tournament (as a non-boater): I'm just as eager to get to the fishing spot as the boater is, we both want paychecks, if you can go 80mph across rough water without either of us dying then do it. I like at it this way: if it aint too rough of a ride for him, it aint too rough of a ride for me. I prepared to have zero storage. I carried as much as i could fit on my person and in my tackle bag. If I get some storage then cool, I can deflate some stuff out of my tackle bag, if not then that's fine, I'm prepared for the worst. Not all guys can afford to give up storage, and some guys don't have any storage to give up, that's fine by me. That's just my view on it. I try to not step on the other guy's toes. 8-)
  6. Site runs great IMHO. That 150meg video only took me like 4 min tops to d/l on the dorm connection 8-)
  7. The bag that comes with 3 boxes? I have that one. It does the trick pretty well. 8-) Good deal for the money.
  8. There wasn't one in my "My messages" thingy.
  9. Welp. I'll be darned, miracles really do happen. It was 50 degrees on Grand with a heck of a wind and I wore nothing but a hoodie over a tshirt. So I caught a cold AND a 2-10 bass to put me JUST into the money. 30th out of 160 isn't bad for my first ever tourney, especially since it was a BFL 8-). What am I buying with my prize money? Rain/windbreakers so I'm better prepared for the next one I enter ;D Thanks for the luck guys, looks like it paid off. Found something else out too: going airborne at 60mph makes my anxiety act up. ;D
  10. Getting ready to head towards Grand in a few minutes. Here goes nothing.... ;D
  11. In the past I've used Red Hat (now fedora), Mandrake, and some Debian. I've been meaning to try Ubuntu but just haven't got around to it. My laptop has vista and it suits me fine so far. I have some bootable distros that i use for my security stuff but other than that I don't dabble in it much anymore. Maybe when I buy a new desktop 8-)
  12. ;D Well that's a good notion.
  13. I use Yo-zuri hybrid 10# on my spincast and spinning setups. Mono on my baitcaster. No complaints yet, but I'm givin all 3 rigs a good workout this weekend. 8-)
  14. I snipe for one reason and one reason only: I don't want anyone to know what my max bid is until it's too late 8-) The truth of the matter is I know how much I'm willing pay or can afford, and I'm not gonna plop down that max bid til the last second because the other guy may want it more but might not have his max bid at his limit. Usually works out.
  15. Marcia Marcia Marcia!! ;D Good interview. Great job, Glenn!
  16. Just go talk to them. *MOST* people are reasonable and will just turn it down. Just approach them calmly and ask politely. Most folks won't give you any trouble.
  17. I don't know, I've heard guys use string/twine on their lures because their teeth will get tangled up in it. The hooks pretty much never penetrate through their mouth because they have such tough skin.
  18. That link takes me to the comcast homepage... :-? Who's the blondie? ;D
  19. I personally really like the caraudio.com forums. They usually like to spend more money than SD though so beware . If I build another system I think I'll go back to my Kappa 6x9s and pick up some 6 1/2 Kappa components. That'd put you quite a ways over your budget though

  21. I had a customer make a comment on that yesterday. Bought one pack of fuses and his receipt was 14~" long. I doubt the receipts are designed to fade. I can vouch for Radioshack (and I would suspect every other electronics retailer and most big box retailers are the same). Our receipts are also kept online for 4+ years and we're able to track them by a receipt # amongst other search criteria. As long as that's readable on the receipt (I've yet to see one faded) then we're able to get all the info on the ticket. Besides if it's something small you don't need to keep the receipt on, throw it out; if it's something you need the receipt on then file it away and it won't fade. The reason some retailers limit your returns is because people steal things and try to return them to get money back. Another thing people will do is buy something, use it for 30-90 days (however long the return policy is), repackage it, and return it; I like to call em renters. I've seen that a million times (especially on phone chargers that people just forgot on a trip, etc.). RS doesn't limit but I'm not surprised other retailers do. Some of the extremes we have to go to are ridiculous. All it takes are a few bad apples to screw it up for everyone. :-/
  22. I hope you guys aren't going to film school. ;D This gives me a great idea, I should wear a box and run around the dorms. Hmmmm....
  23. Sounds about like the boat me and my friend use at his private pit sometimes. With two big guys, a battery, and a tm on the back, it makes do but you better get in, sit down, and not move without announcing it :-/ I wouldn't dare take it out on water with more than a slight chop. Best thing you can do is just give it a shot and see how it rides. As for registering it, it depends on the state. I'd check with your DNR office or whoever handles registering boats.
  24. nagnagnagnagnag ;D
