  10. That is a beautiful fish. Megastrike rules!!
  11. LOL. More people probably own the STX seeing that it's already a couple of years older than the E7. Are you kidding me? 75% of the people on this board own curados. This is why I wont ask these questions on the board anymore. Some people will give honest responses but lots just bash the other brand they dont have or dont like. They are both well made reels. I honestly prefer my STX over my curado for almost every application. But thats me. It can cast weightless baits fine and i still dont understand what people are talking about with the brakes and all these backlashes. I dont know maybe they dont think they need to control the spool with their thumb on a baitcaster. You will not be upset with either reel choose which ever you like best dont get caught up in the pole or all the bashing comments. (half of them probally never even fished both reels) They will both get the job done fine. If it were me I would chose the stx mainly because of the price. But its you so choose which ever you feel is the reel for you because your opinion is the only one that matters. WE ALL KNOW THEY ARE BOTH GREAT REELS. Exactly this. Nuff said
  12. So brutal. Been looking forward to Babalu v Mousasi since it was announced. Hopefully Affliction will just fold up and the UFC will take on the bigger name fighters.
  13. 1/2oz Rat-L-Trap
  14. Way to lay it down, big man. I Would love to have seen those little punks faces when you flipped the siren.
  15. Flipping wins hands down for me. Even if I'm throwin a t-rig there's a good chance im just beating the bank with it.
  16. Not exactly breaking news, but Barnett is out for next weekend's fight with Fedor. This is killing me. I've been looking forward to this fight for years. Barnett may be the only one who's got what it takes to at least challenge Fedor. At this point it looks like the likely replacement is Vitor Belfort. That's right, 200lb Vitor. Potential beat down of the decade coming up if this gets signed. Still a great card, but this is a huge, epic letdown.
  17. Welcome to Bass Resource. Look in the rods, reels & lines forum. You will be overwhelmed at the amount of info.
  18. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1248317712 Steal of a deal. High speed STX is perfect. And you'll have some money left over to spool it up.
  19. I've actually heard of this before. Never tried it myself or even seen it tried. I'll bet some of the old guard around here keep a couple plugs in their tacklebox.
  20. I was really hoping to see the clock stop on ALL plays that go out of bounds. It just seems wrong for the clock to keep running. I hope that the new punting rules don't get Tucker(UT) killed. He was deadly with coffin punts towards the end of last season.
  21. Dinks beat skunks all day. The grass in pic 3 looks inviting.
  22. Personally, I don't have too much trouble with the brakes. You can even set them to max and still make pretty long casts. I just picked up a high speed STX to flip with, but I've been using the 6.4:1 and it's great. For me, the STX is the perfect power fishing reel. I'm know the E7 would be awesome too but I'm just(becoming) an Abu guy.
  23. You're right, Dan. I really, really need to get my butt in gear.
  24. I use KVD on all my lines. Like J said, it's not as dramatic on braid as on flouro, mono, etc., but it defintely helps.
