I fished this a total of around ten hours on several

outings. Looks great, but I have never had a touch.

Any comments?

Same here, I was throwing the Dirty Shad..so today I scored a great deal on the natural shad. If the rain slows down, I'll be trying it out tomorrow. :D

BTW, I know of at least 2 guys that have caught some Nice bass on them.

I have had some success with the bbz1 shad fishing for stripers.  I have a couple of them but I can't seem to find them.

Only when the the little wolfpack dinks are schooling and busting on top, thats it.Any other time nada. :-/

Just like any other bait, the BBZ Shad has it's place where it will wear them out.  I caught some nice fish with it this Summer, but other than that, I haven't tossed it much because I knew it wouldn't work more than another technique.  My biggest problem with it is the casting.  I really wish they had off played around with this aspect of the bait a little more.

IMO, this bait is best used in the late summer by burning it over shallow cover or suspended fish that are up high in the water column.

Only way I have caught fish on it is with fast quick pops like a modified Pop-R or Rico on the floater. My floater actually casts a little better than the sinkers I had.  ::)I sold all the sinkers for cheap and kept one floater.

I bought this lure and fished it this past year with no success. Didn't even see a fish follow it. It looks great but I am not longer confident that it will ever produce. I have heard several people with the same complaint.

I had one day when I was outfishing my buddies on the bbz1 shad, but it seems that it was the bait's only day of glory for me.

I fished it several times before without a single hit, and many times since then.  I get a fish on it here and there, but usually on a really fast retrieve.  Since I'm just getting a reaction strike on it, I'm inclined to think that those fish would have hit anything that zoomed by them really quick.

I caught some nice fish on the dirty shad early this year.  All the bites were extreamly aggressive.  A couple of times they would hit it and blow it completely out of the water.  I'd throw back and they would slam it again.  I agree that it doesn't cast very well.
