  • Dust off those tubes boys, things are thawing here and before long the brownies will be chewing. When the water climbs into the low 40's and clears up a bit, I'll be tossing a 2.5" watermelon or green

Always love that first bite indicating tick and the swing of the stick that follows.

Great thread!

Thanks for the video Glenn.  What size corky do you normally use to have the tube float?  I'm not familiar with them.  Thanks for the videos and info!

One last question for you Glenn... what size cylinder weight do you use?  I suppose you're going to say it depends on depth, wind, etc... But in general is there a good all around weight for say 5' to 15'?  Thanks again!

I usually go for 1/16th and 1/8th oz weights, and adjust from there.  Obviously I use heavier weights in current and wind.

The tube became my favorite technique when I caught my first ever smallmouth bass on one last year. I built a setup to exclusively throw them this year and I’ll be doing that in about a month!

I’m going to be trying out the Xtreme Bass Tackle tubes w/ primarily 1/4 oz tube jigs.
