The other worm hook discussion was good.. How about some info.on Wacky rigs ???

I like to use a Grigsby HP hook. I remove the wire clip, mash on a non-removable splitshot close to the eye, then powder paint. (I powder paint to close the gap in the eye of the hook.) I've also tried a size1 EWG hook, did the weight thing (as above) in the bend near the eye. Both work fine for me, but this was my first year fishing wacky. I use the weighted hooks because i usually fish french fries wacky....

I use a 3/0 Gamakatsu Octopus #02413 for Trick worms and a 2/0 Gamakatsu Octopus #02412 or a 2/0 Owner Mosquito for finesse worms.

About 90% of the bass I catch are with that presentation.

I've used everything from Matzuo baitholder weedless hooks

to "Bass Bug" hooks that I made weedless by my own craftiness, like the Tiemco 8089 or the Gammy B10S. Guitar string wire, thread, flytying vise, a tiny bit'o skill.  ;D

X2. These hooks seem to be good for a lot of different option. I even used them while ocean fishing from a Jetty.

These are the hooks I use.  Wayne P. got me using these last year for Wacky Rigging and I have not been disappointed at all.

RandySBreth, for wacky rigging Senkos, I put a wire weedguard on Octopus hooks.

I use 7 strand stainless steel leader material, a short piece of 1/8" electrical shrink tubing, and a little heat.

No fly tying vise or skill needed. It takes a few seconds to assemble it.

I use Gamy light wire straight shank worm hooks. Have

at least a 90% hook up.  As light as they are I have never had one break...  Found they are a lot easier to remove when deep hooked

Wayne that looks like a neat idea.I'll have to give that a shot.

I use Eagle Claws Lazer Sharp smaller sized wacky rigging hooks for when I am wacky rigging a 5 inch senko and I use owners weedless wacky rig hook for when I am throwing a smaller sized senko or finesse worm.

Gamakatsu Finesse Round Bend with weedguard...the only Gamakatsu hook I use.

I use a couple, I like the 2/0 Gamakatsu EWG weedless finesse for weightless 4" wacky senkos, and the 3/0 in the same hook for 5" and 6".

When I want a little weight on the hook or am wacky rigging around a little heavier cover I use Falcon's "K-Wacky" weedless hook, usually the 3/0 with 1/16 oz. weight. It's a pretty stout hook/weedguard set up.

ive used owner wacky hooks...they work great and also come in the weedless version

1 or 1/0 mosquito hooks.   Size depends on the size of the bait.  I used to use 1 staight shank gammy worm hooks.

Sweet. That's using your brain. I'll try that one.

i use Mustad weedless wacky 1/0.  they hold up well and stay sharp.  i considered using a larger size but have never had an issue with gut hooking.  realy no need to "set" the hook either.  they hook themselves. just watchyou rline close as always.

i get these through Cabelas.  less than $4 for 5.

I like the Falcon Lures Weedless K-Wacky hooks in 3/0 3/16oz. They are great for the 5-6" Senkos.

I wacky rig with Senkos & o-rings quite a bit.  I like the Falcon K-wacky hooks the best.
