Drop Offs?

Featured Replies

How would you go about fishing drop off where it's about a 10-15 foot drop of with a rock wall? I've heard from someone who lives next to it and has dove to it before and says he's he's a bunch of good bass next to it. Thanks

I would throw a swim bait, crank bait, or a spinnerbait at the depth the fish are sitting at if you can tell.

Let me know how it works out. Hope you hook a monster!

I like a shakeyhead or football jig for that kind of stuff. A crankbait banged around in the rocks can be really good too.

I have never done it, but I am studying the art of swimming jigs. That may work if there are some size to the fish you are trying to catch. You can control the depth that your bait is and maybe snag those fish that are suspended off the rock. If they are smaller size you could also throw a jerk bait at them and get some reaction strikes. There's a million ways you could approach this. Just take what you know best and apply it.
