Featured Replies

Hey guys i am Justin, I am a 25 year old OIF Vet and i was stationed here a little over a year ago. i recently moved to chantilly, va when i married my wife. I do not know any good fishing spots in the area that are public. i am looking to get some info maybe some fishing buddies! Well wish me luck

Hi and welcome to the forums. If you want to look for public fishing there Google Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. I would link it but I am not sure if that is against the rules. Good luck in your search and enjoy the forums.

Wonderful having you with us and welcome aboard.

We have a nice contigent of NOVA guys and I am sure they will help you.

Go to the Southeast Fishing section and read the NOVA posts and introduce your self to some of the guys.

I don't fish NOVA as all I do is sit in traffic when I go to Northern Virginia but I am sure you will locate a number of great guys who can give you some suggestions.

Swarrin 4, no, it is not against the rules to post the Virginia DG&IF site address.

I have done it many times to help local anglers.

Hi and welcome

hello and welcome to bass resource

Hello and welcome. I'm fairly new to Va and the forum as well. The VGDIF has a pretty good website listing public access by county or body of water. It is what I have been using to get accustomed to the area.

Welcome!

Welcome to the forum from anther VA fisherman! i agree with "Sam", Southeast forum has alot of guys/gals that understand our area.

Hey whats going on. I live in Ashburn, 20-30 min from chantilly. There are some good lakes in South Riding which is next door to you. One is off of crossfield drive and tall cedars parkway which is really good. Lake Fairfax isn't too far and beaver dam reservoir is good too. In ashburn there are many lakes as well. There are about 3 -4 off Ashburn village drive. Hope this helps.
