Homemade Rod Rack Suggestions

Featured Replies

looking to store my rods on the wall in the garage, anyone make a rack out of pvc or something cheap that worked well?? let's see the creativity!

If you keep your reels on your rods, MAKE SURE to leave enough room.

Scrap 1X4 about 8 feet in length screwed into the wall with mollys, hooks screwed into the wood. Holds 15 combos, I have a bunch more standing up which tells me I have to expand it or I just have more than I need. Cost next to nothing.

The wood slat is lengthwise and parallel to the ceiling, hooks are spaced about every 6'", rods hang down vertical.

Its cheaper to just by one from Wal-Mart or when BPS or someone has them on sale. But they can be made out of PVC, does take some thoughtful planning. Home Depot and Lowes have nice selections of PVC that is already cut to some different lengths and end caps etc... Just have to go look and see and figure out how much space you have and how many rods and reels you want to store etc...

I had a piece of pegboard on the wall in my garage when i moved in so i made it the rod rack.
