Huddleston makes a run of them every so often. They get sold out in 1 day.

I thought i was on his mail list but obviously not! I seen i missed the 68 special sale he had just bf 4th of july. I heard he sold out in just few hours! Not sure why he doesn't bring them to full production.

I'm with ya - I'm on the mailing list as of yesterday but I'm betting I am really have to get in on that sale right away or I'll miss out - again.

I'll watch for it anyway.

I am on the list- but always run out on the sale...you could always make you own...but i am not tearing them up anytime soon!

They sold out in 38 minutes on their July 4th sale. I logged in at 9:38 and they were all gone...

They get more money for the baits this way. They do limited runs and jack the price up, people who have no job buy them up in no time, then all of the sudden like a freakin magic show they end up on ebay for twice as much money. I have baits that would sell for double what I payed for them new because some moron is willing to pay it. This is a regular practice for 3:16 baits and now it seems Ken is doing the same. Everyone goes into a frenzie. It is a bunch of BS. I often wonder the relationship of the online sellers to the manufacturing company.

Supply and demand dictates price - always has and always will.

It's funny though, I don't really feel like a moron, not even a littler bit.

Wait until you lose one. As mentioned I have some that are worth twice what I payed for them, the others I payed all the money for.

Got my 2 today. :)

Need to slow troll these at Canyon Lake asap.

I got some too! Is the best way to rig the 68 the "butch brown" way?

I'm a swimbait Newbie - but the general consensus seems to be that the 6" baits are left stock & 8" baits get the B Brown re-rig.

They work just fine with the stock hook. I have caught 20 or so fish on this bait and not lost one that has hooked up. I have missed a few tail biters but thats it. The BB rig really comes into play as the weight of the bait goes up.

You should check out realpray swimbaits. Not a HUD but the golden pond shiner and some of the p

I don't normally resurrect old threads like this but wanted to mention that Hudd's selling a run of these on their website now.

Picked up the blue herring color in ROF 5.

Thanks Chris -

I got on the mailing list a while back and am now receiving the advanced sale announcements as well.

The Grande's south of the border have a distinct preference for the albino white bait.

Do you slow roll them like you would the 8" hudd?

Yep.  Just keep it on or close to the bottom.  I prefer dragging it on the bottom with the reel....

Fish the 68 like you would 8", slow steady retrieve so the oversize tail swims naturally.

No Need to modify the 68.
