I'm confused! If you have the fish with you, why not just weigh it and let us know?

Congrats on the PB. May you catch a bigger one soon.

A fish loses weight even being in a live well for a hour or so. The night I brought it home I took it to my neighbor and showed him. He had scales but it showed it weighed 4.5 pounds and he swore up an down it was atleast 7 pounds around 8. So I stood on a scale and seen how much I weighed with it and then with out It. I weighed 256 with and 248. But im not sure if it was accurate either haha.

First of all it's beautiful fish.

You had the length and girth measurement, there are a number of weight calculators (one on BR that would put your fish about 7.7 lbs.) that will give a pretty fair estimation, no worse than a guess from a picture. Your friend had a scale and it read 4.5 lb, if the scale is in working order I'd be surprised if it was off by 3 lb, I could buy a few ounces off.

Call it 8 and pat yourself on the back.

7 lbs. If you don't have a good scale, you could take it to a farm supply store. Nice fish!

definately a nice catch, congratulations

Nice fish, but there is no possible to estimate weight from a picture. A fish can look much bigger by holding your arms out to the camera, and with all the angles and lighting there is no way to guess a weight. At this point "it is what it is" and it's pretty darn nice. Congratulations!

My first guess was 7-8. Congrats on the PB.

Ive tried a few rage tail worms and haven't had much luck on them, but I'll give those a shot! And I caught my latest fishing that was around 8 pounds on those ole monster purple worms!

7lb 13 oz

I'd have to agree with everyone else saying the 7-8 pound range.
