Anyone use Ducket rods? I took a gamble and placed a order for one yesterday. The reviews look good, but I dont beleive you can always base a decision on customer reviews. I ordered the 6' 9 MH-C model DFMM69MH as I was in the market for a new spinnerbait/buzzbait rod. Might attempt to use it for squarebills, 3/8 poppers and sammys.

My son bought a 7-0 M-C about 2 weeks ago. He really liked it and so did I even thought I just tossed baits around in the yard with it, I never got to fish with it. It ended up getting broken last week (long story) so I called customer service and they said they would sell me another at 1/2 price. I thought since that was such a generous offer and I was in the market for a spinning rod anyway I would try one of theirs, so I ordered one yesterday. What little I"ve used their rods I was really impressed and their customer service is outstanding. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

i only have a 6 foot 6 spinning rod i use for my shaky heads, small jigs, drop shot etc. I absolutely love it, it is my favorite rod. I would like to swith all my rods over to Ducketts but it would be too costly.

I was in the market for a rod in the 70 dollar range and these were way out of that. I did mess with several at my local bass pro. I was sold at first sight. I put off buying one as I have a bday in a few days and my parents seem to think at 33 they still need to spoil their son. Bass pro gift cards is the norm. I'm going to wait and splurge and get a Ducket. These blew everything out of water that I tested and looked at. I swear my 100 yard spool of braid waiting for my Silver Max weights more than this rod

I haven't used the Duckett rods, but a few guys in my club use them. Nothing but rave reviews. As far as the combination of a good price and quality....they say there isn't a better rod out there.

I think you will be happy with your purchase.

It arrived today, and keep in mind this is the first time I touched one. I ordered it on a blind risk, which I normally dont do, but Im not a big Kistler and G Loomis I know is out of my price range. The main other 2 rods my fishing buddys use. WOW, I swear I think the newspaper it was wrapped in weighted more than the rod let alone the BPS Pro Q I put on it. Its almost like your holding the reel and the rod's not there. Took it in the yard and was zinging a practice plug all over the yard. I cant get out tonight but luckly tomorrow evening Im headed out to start fishing a Lake Ive never been on in preparation to joining a USA Bassin event next season.

I was part of a college team that was sponsored by Duckett rods. They are great rods, and really light weight. But remember with light weight rods they are more brittle than your standard rod. Don't rod lift bass over a 2 pounds into the boat. As long as you know the limitations of your rod it will last for many years. I love these rods, but can no longer afford them. There customer service is awesome and they actually answer the phones.

I got a chance to get it out and use it. I have to say I like it, I threw a few diffrent baits on it. A spinnerbait, chatterbait, jig, popper, and fluke. Only thing I got bit on was the fluke and they was all dinks, did have one break off on the hookset. And I dont want to change this thread into something else but it appeared my uniknot gave on that one it felt like a solid fish to. I did just start tying this knot so it very well could of been my issue and nothing more.

Duckett's are great rods. I particularly like the micro guides. My only dislike (and it is just personal preference), the longer rods have a little to whippy tip for me.

Practice the knot. It is very strong. Run the line thru the hook eye twice, and you have the Fish-N-Fool Knot. Either one is very strong, but the latter is a bit stronger due too twice thru the hook eye.

A little long-winded, but here is a video of the knot.
