What type of swimbaits are you refering to? Color is a very small variable in the bass chess game, but firetiger is generally for deeper water or when the water clarity is dirty-stained. Bluegill, or natural patterns, are good to throw in clearer water to try and trick the bass into thinking the bait is a part of the natural forage.

BTW, is that not you in your avatar? Your PB says 5-6 lbs and that is just a tad bigger

If you like swimbaits, try the Strike King Shadalicous in the Sexy Shad color. It's a hollow body style swimbait so you will end up needing the proper hooks like a Gamakatsu swimbait hook, skin hook the tip when you bring it out the back and you have a perfect weedless bait. They will work anywhere in the country with any forage, I guarantee it. Always try to get close to the natural forage of the water you're fishing.

I generally stick to natural colors with swimbaits since they are primarily a visual bait.

Just spend the 35 bucks and get a slammer or woodtail. So big and so font to throw....

I personally love using the Yum Money Minnow using bluegil or shad with weighed hook and making it weedless. Bass love money minnow but its pricey but its a awesome lure. Has awesome action!

x2! For a small paddletail, this one has a nice action! I have become fond of Hudd's 4" weedless shad also. Swims nice and fairly durable for a swimbait. Mend it will make them last a while.

Really? The first one I threw on the back of a swim jig didn't even get a bite before falling off....Not happy with the durability at all.

You used a Hudd 4" shad as a swim jig trailer?? I have landed at least 6 bass on mine and havent had to use mend-it yet so yea I think they are pretty durable.
