I love a beat up, scratched, chipped, chrome blue back Rattle trap.    My first act is to remove the hooks and scratch it against the asphalt to take some flash off the bait.

In California, every bass angler has chrome/blue back, chrome/black back, and some type of craw color.  I've found that chrome/blue back works everywhere.
