Light Flip/pitch Rod For $200 Or Less ???

Featured Replies

Looking for a lighter rod for flipping and pitching. I really like my 7'11" crucial, but it's weighs too much for me ( my arm kills at the end of the day ). Any suggestions?

try the duckett micro magic rods. the 7' 6" or 7' 10" would be perfect! I have yet to see a lighter brand of rods!

I use a Rage rod from St.Croix. super light and sensitive. I use the 7'1 MH fast. They make a couple bigger if you're looking for more length or power.

For 3/8 oz and smaller stuff I use my Berkely Shock rod 7' MH. For larger I use my 7'11" Heavy Veritas. Both are super light.

Phenix Recon 764 or Powell Endurance line of rods would suite you perfectly

I would look into the Powell Max or Endurance series... Tough and light.... And under your budget...

The Abu Veritas is a nice light rod as well

Awesome... Thanks for the replies. Anyone use a cumara for flip n pitch 1/2 - 1oz ?

x3 on the Powells, very good rods.

I also enjoy my Veritas rods as well, very nice

76 or 711 veritas would be my choice for a light weight flipping rod.

I went with the 7'11" heavy. It had more backbone that the 7'6". Even the 7'3" had more backbone

Powell Max 7'3" H Fast action flipping stick. I own one. It's very light and ultimately perfect.

I guess i am the only one that owns Pinnacle Perfecta rods.and I own almost every other. For the money I don't think you can buy a better rod. It is as good as some of my Loomis rods. Don't buy without trying different brands yourself. Not all rods fit everyone.

*** just came out with a few bass rods. i own a few of the ***'s and they are on of the best rods i've ever fished with. they feel like a 200 dollar plus rod and you can get them for 100 to 120. I own the 7'3 M and MH. I'm pretty sure they make a 7'6" H for flipping. Give them a try.

Looking for a lighter rod

Dobyns Savvy 735 or Champion 735C on sale at 20% off.

If you like a little longer, take a look at the Champion 765 flip.

The Dobyns 4 power rods would work too if you're working sparse/light cover.

Looking for a lighter rod

How light do you want to go? A true pitching stick is built like a tank. Most are going to be heavier than a standard rod.

Lighter than the new omens. Lighter than my current crc-x711h
