I have had mine for over a year and love it. I havent seen anyone else use one and wondered if anybody here has and what your opinions are.

I have one. Cabela's was selling the hibdon 800 sx model for $50 so I said what the heck and got one. It's made fairly well and it's not as goofy looking as their older series reels. It casts pretty far and the little seesaw thing seems to lay line adequately although it's not perfect. Here's the thing...would I pay $130 for this reel? No way. For $50 you'd be hard pressed to find something better though. I say overall it's not bad. A lot of people will automatically say it's crap because of the levelwind and because some of their other reels leave a lot to be desired. I bought it in a "ah, what the heck" moment and I have no regrets. If someone was looking for a beginner casting setup, Cabelas is selling that reel for $50 and the Abu Vendetta for $50. That's a $100 combo that's a heck of a lot nicer than the other $100 combos I see for sale.

I was in a similar situation when I bought mine as well. It has held up better than some similarly priced BPS baitcasters

I do think I have had far fewer/less severe backlashes with this reel. I wish I had more than just one!
