Anyone ever fish the Ima Flit 120? How does that stack up to the Vision 110 I wonder. Both are supposed to be tops but one is way more talked about.

And the jackall squad minnow and soul shad, anyone use them? That is supposed to be what Pace used to win the classic.

The McStick 110 looks like the best value price/color selection/way it can be fished.

I am either gonna pick up some of those or the Perfect 10(if they ever get up on lurenet)

I think thehooligan is right, you can use them all year. You don't need to be freezing your ass off to catch fish with them. Floating in the summer work great, the original Rapalas or jointed, straight steady retrieve, jerk jerk pause on top. but the suspending offer even more flexibility when fished because you do have the option of pausing in the retrieve without it floating up.

I collect jerkbaits more than any other class of hard baits. I like the Megabass Ito Vision 110, too!

I am the same way they are just so pretty looking in the box. You were the one that got me started on LC's but I still could never put down the Rouges.

Sorry if this has been posted before, but it seems this year it's going to be jerkbaits.  Already being shown on the Bass Pro website, it seems that everyone is going to rush out and get new jerkbaits.

Being from Nebraska, and used to colder water fishing, jerkbaits have always been a go to for me in colder weather, and I hope this leads to big sales on jerkbaits!!!!

Nebraska??!!  I picked up some Storm Twitch Sticks last year from TW when they came out.  All signs point to awesome.  The bass loved them last fall.  Solid hardware, killer roll and $5.  I put them away to troll minnow baits, drop shot and jig all winter but the jerkbait bug has bitten me again so I'm eager to get back out there.  I don't really follow the Classic but I did hear one of the anglers mention that bait.

The Flit 120 is a good bait...suspends a bit deeper than a Mega 110 or a Pointer 100. That Soul Shad reminds me of the LC Bevy Shad...good bait, but not talked about much.

Hey RW... it seems many memebers are new or not familiar with jerkbait fishing.

Could you possibly share with all your experience what is the "best" way to go about using and fishing a jerkbait? As well as depth/temp

Thatd be great and huge help to many i would guess!

o ya and some colors!!  :eyebrows:

Do you have a favorite? Or do all of them perform as advertised out of the box and you can't go wrong with any of them?

Yes Nebraska!!!!! I have found that, at least the lakes I fish around here, that silver/black and silver/blue work the best.

Water temperature on the upper portion of Pickwick was 52* last weekend and the Smithwick Rogue ruled!

We were fishing on the edge of vegetation in approximately 8' of water, but I fish deeper water over structure

with good success.

This best color last weekend was the Purple Darter.

Another Husker fan here. Don't fish Rogues, but I've bad success with the Rick Clunn Jerkbaits.

Can't wait to try Megabass Jerkbaits when the ice comes off.

I fished an XRap I picked up on clearance a few summers ago. Air temp was at least 100 and water in this pond was crazy muddy. I tore up some fish on that bait that summer including at least 2 fish that went 4#s. Haven't been able to get back into it though.Love how the fish just latch on when the bait is paused and you really never know it until you begin your retrieve again.

Favorites...geez..To many favorite jerkbaits..I like the most of LC lineup, Mega's, Ima's, Evergreens,, McSticks, Xcaliburs, Rogues, Husky Jerks...Cant think of a jerkbait I dont like. Sometimes plain old Rogue or Husky Jerk will take fish when the $$$ lures wont. You really need a selection of different sizes, colors, and some baits that cover different depths. You also need to spend some time watching and tuning your baits. Pay attention to depth, cadence and to what your bait is doing at rest (slow sink, slow rise, or suspend). Nose down or flat attitude at rest can make a difference too. A spool of lead wire, dots, and a selection of rings & hooks can make all the difference.Good luck.

Well, it wasn't the Classic, but a friend and I kicked some booty yesterday!

Caught a couple on a Red Eye Shad, but 28 of 32 were on Smithwick Rogues.

I love  me some jerkbait action!

I want 32 fish days in febuary in jersey

Good post, I've done well on a variety of them and a lot of it has to do with the depth I need to fish and if they prefer a more erratic vs. subdued bait & presentation.

Regarding the Ima 120 , this is probably the most underated bait out there in my opinion it's been one of my top baits since it's introduction.
