Just curious why this forum doesn't have a contest or giveaway thread?

Most of the other forums i follow have this section and give away sponsor products, or Forum gear. Anything from $10 worth of baits, to a sticker of the forum. 

entry methods are anything from simply making a post in a thread, to picture contests, to making comments on forum videos or articles. 

 

Just a thought i had. It should add members, and participation. 

Picture contests are fun.

Yeah I do alot of hunting picture contests on my predator huntin forums I frequent. Could do that here also have to have the BR logo in the picture with you holding a bass or something winner gets something or bragging rights. In the NE section there was a topwater catch pic contest.

The valuable information gleaned from, and available on this site is worth more than a sticker or the chance to get a few bucks worth of "free" gear.

 

Should I mention the Road Trip, and the opportunity to enjoy the great fishing and cameraderie that it provides.  Heck, you may even get some free gear and stickers when you attend. 

You just have to keep your eyes peeled.

The Road Trip is a good place to get some swag. Big O straight hooked me up at the first KY Lake Roadtrip.

 

J also makes a valid point that I would like to expand on. If there is a "section" for giveaways and contests, there are going to be guys that only sign up to participate in that forum. If you have to look for stuff, there is a good chance you'll find something else to contribute to as well as finding the "giveaways." Think of it as an Easter Egg hunt for adults. LOL

 

Besides, most of the time the giveaways are done in the General Section. If you are looking there, you won't miss too many.

You can join Facebook for free hand outs. I fill out form, after form on a weekly basis from dozens of different companies. If you're looking for contests and free stuff, go through social media. If you want to learn invaluable information and interact with great anglers, start reading these forums. 

Have to keep an eye out for them.  Normally the prizes are scarf'd up before you even have a chance to see them posted.  There are some lure hungry people on this forum.
