Drop Shot Baits?

I would like some input on the baits you like for the drop shot because I may be missing something to try! I fish the drop shot and I fish the Zoom Meat Heads, and small flukes, and Fin. worms! What is your go to bait? ;) :-?

I fish alot of baits on a drop shot. I learned the technique with flukes. But if the bite is tough i like to wacky rig a senko on a drop shot rig. It works!

Worms that work best for me are Roboworms, either a 6" or 4.5" flat tail in a number of colors..i.e. oxblood, Hologram Shad, Sexy Shad, Margarita Mutalator, Arron's Magic..There are a bunch more color combos you can choose from. If the bite is real tough, and there isn't a chance of gettin hung up..try a 4.5" worm with a size 1 dropshot hook, and nose hook the worm, no need to impart to much action on the bait.

Use as light of a fluro line as you can..4 lb min.

I was thinking of trying a Tiny Paca chunk! Or a baby brush hog ( baby mad paca ),and some small Zoom lizards! ;)

Strike King Super Finesse worms work fine for me.

But Bass Magic shaky tails in silver shad color are just killer

Hammer, I am with you. I have the robo worm straight tail in 4.5" in just about every color as well as the sculpins. I also have 3.5" senco worms that I wacky rig and have good luck with. But all my dropshotting is done with a gamakatsu drop shot hook, size one and I nose hook the roboworms. I have also gotten a few fish on Zoom finesse worms, gulp leeches ,yamamto 5" single tail grubs and bass magic shakey tails.

when i get bored of not catching anything, if I see some baby bass swimming around i'll tie on a 2.25" Creme Angle Worm in the natural color wacky rigged on a drop shot rig and pick up a couple of them, but today I was doing that and saw a pack of three bass about the 2.5-4lb range swim by and just pitched the rig in front of them and one broke off the pack and gobbled it up.  From that moment I realized that super finesse works too! I was surprised to see a 3 lb bass inhale this tiny worm I was throwing...

I am also a fan of the robo worms 4.5". When the bite is tough they are hard to beat.

I like Zoom Flukes and Tiny Flukes.

#1 for me is the Roboworm. Small flukes, cut-tail worms and tubes all have their time & place as well.
