In my waters, Firetiger Double Willowleaf Spinner 1/2 Oz through the Cypress Knees.

Senko or Trickworm in any natural looking color.

Senkos or tubes skipped under docks.

I'm usually limited to 2-3 hrs every Saturday morning.  Once it's later in the season, I usually start with a topwater & move to cranks for a little while.

However, Fat Ikas and Senkos are my confidence baits any time of the year.  Unless there are no fish or they are suffering total lockjaw, they provide a few bites over a 2 hour period.

It really, really depends on the time of year, body of water, and what is there.  I have a "lunchtime" pond I fish 3-5 days a week.  At different times of year, a hard jerkbait, dropshot or wacky worm, jig, spinnerbait, or frog will work.  As you probably guessed, the amount of weed cover, and where the bass are located plays a big part in what bait to use.  I wouldn't use a jerkbait in the dead of summer with the pond choked out with weeds.  Conversely, I wouldn't use a frog when the bass were on beds in between newly emergent weeds.

With two hours and pre-spawn fish I would not limit myself to only one lure. With a M or MH, F or XF you could grab a chatterbait/spinnerbait, Senko or Trickworm-wacky or t-rigged weightless, and a jig/craw or t-rigged beaver. If one of those didn't find a fish or two, I would be confident that I had given it a good shot. If I could only have one, fishing my home lake pre-spawn, it would be  a white chatterbait.
