Head Wouldn't Fit!

Featured Replies

She was a LARGEMOUTH Bass... But NOT so LARGE that my Head would fit in it, I know - I tried  :laugh5:   Could've been the Rage Lobster was in the way, Just sayin'  :)

Pitchin 12ft brush in the middle of a creek channel, 65# braid, 3/4oz SK Tungsten, 5/0 Moaner Stick'r hook, 7'11" Hvy action St Croix Rage Rod. I place a large rubber chair leg tip on the bottom of the handles for better hooksets with less slipping in my rib area. YEP, that's a HawgTech Handle on that old Curado... Love'em! For pegging or holding the larger weights in position or tight to the bait, I'll use the Paycheck Punchstops because they make more line contact and don't slide up and down as easy. Still use the Bobber Stop style of weight stops with lighter weights and below tungsten if I'm using Fluoro lines, to protect the knot ;)

Need you to transport some of those monsters to Virginia for breeding purposes. We need a "Virginia-strain" in addition to Texas, Florida, and California strains of bass.  :idea2:

Is there any fish under 6lbs that bite your lures or are they just that scared?  I'd be curious to know your all time weight of bass! ENVIOUS!  Great shot Big O'!

Superman gives us another monster bass

I catch bass between 4 and 6lb the ones you get eat mine, make them look like pet store guppies.

Big O as usual thanks for the HAWG shots

Are you SURE your head wouldn't fit?

x2 You should take a picture of that too.

Awesome fish! You did tell me there'd be a decent flippin' bite in May, so I knew we'd be seeing something good soon!

Awesome fish as usual!

Big-O, I use the chair leg tip as well, but I use some round lead ingots from some old BPS Rod Balancers.

I've got my rods balanced to the point where I can rest it one of my index fingers. Really cuts down on hand and arm fatigue.

Oh and Rippin' Bass by the way!

Darren, these Tx fish eat alot and most all year long... kinda like ME!

Mark, small ones chew too and get the same hookset as their Mom's, but they don't make the Plus Sized Calender  ;)

AK-NJ, Superman is really Luckyman that lives in Texas!

Mike, not shorts this time, PANTS! My Shorts were wet from an untimely dip in the lake... while on me, lol.

Arv and lmbFisherman, I have a MELON Head... wouldn't fit!

Shane, here in Tx. as long as there's water in the trees, there's a flippin Bite ;)

Thanks Joe and hookset on 3, yes the added rubber tip to the rod handle does improve the balance especially on these longer models.

Dwight, I also own Dry cleaning buisnesses   believe it or not, I got tired of paying people to mess up my clothes. Maybe I'm too PICKY :)

Powerduster, her light color was from water being a bit murky due to the wind blowing across flats on either side on the creek channel.

Awesome! Now that's a lot of bass right there!! Nice work.

Yes BeckieC, there are many things that I don't and can't do!  And being that I am of the older generation, I've had a little more time to do a few more things :) BTW, I like to play with my GrandKids too ;)

jnatale3, sorry I didn't take the time to weigh her

Grandkids are awesome!  I have 5 :happy-112:
