I'm horrible at estimating, but how big would you say she is? when I got her out of the water, I figured around 3 1/2 or 4

Looks closer to the 3lb mark to me

3 tops would be my guess..  Not a very big mouth compared to your hand, so definitely not a 4+.

Buy a soft measuring tape that a tailor or seamstress would use. Wally world sells them as well as any fabric shop. You can measure length and girth. Google "fish weight calculator" enter your numbers and the species and it will give you a rough estimate

I would say just under 3 like 2.12

Maybe 3#, more than 2.5#, she has a pretty color is that light red typical of fish in that pond?  Almost looks like a rainbow trout color.

I always let my partner bring his scale...I'm afraid to buy one because as I soon as I do I know I won't catch anything worth weighing.... LOL

Those are incredibly tough shots to guess a weight from.  I've seen 5's look like 3's and visa-versa.    

Cool catch, the fish looks long and slender. Under 3lbs.
